Survivor: San Juan del Sur Episode 5

Drew wanted to throw the challenge in Survivor: San Juan del Sur Episode 4 to get rid of some of the snakes. Then he got voted out.

The Coyopa tribe sits there with their mouths hanging open when they see Drew has been eliminated. They don’t understand how this tribe could have gotten rid of him.

With that revealed, they can drop their buffs.

Coyopa: Kelley, Dale, Missy, Baylor, Jaclyn, Jon, Keith
Hunahpu: Josh, Reed, Wes, Alec, Jeremy, Julie, Natalie

The tribes are split with one tribe having only one single and the other tribe having only one pair.

Jeremy is sure he is the target now that Josh, Wes, and Alec are together with Josh’s boyfriend Reed.

On the other tribe, Keith assumes he is a target considering he is the only person without a partner. However, Jaclyn quickly spills the dirt to Jon, and she does not trust either Baylor or Josh.

Jeremy and Natalie, who last week played a large role in getting rid of Drew, say that Alec is not that different from his brother. So they want to team up with him.

Missy talks about how there’s a ton of rice at this camp. She’s not used to this. At her old tribe, they used to eat so much more than they are expected to here. That would explain why they had hardly any left. Dale is not happy with her wastefulness, but Kelley hopes to restrain him.

Speaking of how much food Missy was helping to waste, they think they have 3 days worth of food left on the other side, and they don’t know what they are going to eat after that. Perhaps Jeff will be willing to make a trade.

At the immunity challenge, they will dig up a bag of keys, go through an obstacle course/mud pit, shake sand bags loose from a basket, and then toss the bags on a platform. Hunahpu is the first to find their keys, and they are well ahead the entire time. This isn’t even going to be competitive. Hunahpu wins immunity before the other tribe even has a chance to make an effort on the tossing.

Jeff will be paying Hunahpu a visit tomorrow to discuss terms of the trade.

Dale’s plan is to try to get the non-Missy/Baylor couple (he doesn’t like either of them) on his side so that they can control the vote. This seems like it should be pretty easy since Jaclyn already does not trust Baylor, who flipped on her before. Likewise, Missy and Baylor want to swing Jaclyn and Jon. Meanwhile, Keith thinks he is the easy vote, but he seems to be completely safe for the next vote or two at least.

The choice is between Missy’s plan of splitting the vote or of just voting out Baylor.

With 3 votes, Kelley has been voted off the island. Keith’s vote of Dale suggests to me that perhaps he was in on the plan.
