After falling below the red line, Bobby was eliminated in The Biggest Loser Season 15 Episode 9.
We’re going to singles. Perhaps now things will get interesting in this otherwise dull season. Maybe I can even start to recognize the contestants all these weeks in.
For the challenge, each contestant will be holding 20% of their weight. Reward is a 1 pound advantage on the scale. Tanya’s the first one eliminated. Then Tumi. It goes to 10 minutes, 15, and 20. Jen is the next one to fall. Hap is next. Marie, Chelsea, and Matt go next. The three people who remain are also the biggest losers on campus so far this season. After an hour and a half, David drops. Jay falls a couple minutes later, and Rachel wins.
This week, they will finally start thinning the herd. This week’s red line will have two people below it. Whatever happened to voting on this show?
With everybody in singles, the trainers split their duties for the week and get the chance to train new people. Most people shine in the workout, including David, who runs an 11 minute mile, much better than the 15 minutes he was aiming to do and even better than the 12 minutes Jillian asked of him. Jennifer not so much, as she leaves the workout crying after being unable to make the jumps Bob had her try.
Following a commercial for Subway breakfasts and a brief last chance workout, it’s time for the first individual weigh in.
Rachel: 167 pounds (-4, -1, 2.92%)
Chelsea: 177 pounds (-4, 2.21%)
Jay: 196 pounds (-5, 2.49%)
Marie: 187 pounds (-5, 2.60%)
Tumi: 225 pounds (-9, 3.85%)
David: 282 pounds (-12, 4.08%)
Tanya: 201 pounds (-7, 3.37%)
Hap: 316 pounds (-5, 1.56%)
Jennifer: 195 pounds (-5, 2.50%)
Matt: 263 pounds (-5, 1.87%)
Two people who I would have predicted would be staying have a bad week, and Hap and Matt fall below the red line and are going home. Or are they? They, along with everybody else who has been eliminated (yes, that includes Ruben, who was eliminated for a second time two weeks ago) will have a shot at returning to the game.
This is different. I was wondering how they’d get the season done in time, and the answer is they won’t. Rather, the season will be returning in three weeks for midseason, and on January 7th, we’ll pick back up where we left off.
