Big Brother 13 Episode 22

Jeff won the power of veto in Big Brother 13 Episode 21 and used it to remove Porsche from the block and nominate Daniele against Kalia, the most satisfying outcome of the season since ED’s elimination in episode 2.

Daniele needs 3 votes to remain in the house. She’s not bothering with Jordan and Rachel. With the assumption that Porsche will keep her, that leaves her with only two options, Shelly and Adam.

Her pitch to Shelly is that she will not nominate her ever, on her grandmother’s life. Reality TV translation: I will nominate you. Then again, it would make sense to drag Shelly along because it’s not as if anybody would vote for her.

Shelly approaches Adam telling him they can’t beat Jeff and Jordan. Adam doesn’t know if he can trust Daniele, nor has she provided any reason to convince him she’d flip from her ally Porsche to him and Shelly. Oh boy. I can’t wait for this conversation to blow up in Shelly’s face, for her to get amnesia again, and for her to whine and complain about it for weeks and decide she hates Adam’s guts like she hates Rachel.

Believing she won’t be able to convince Adam, Shelly now approaches Rachel instead. This should end well. She tells her that Jeff threw the Cornhole game. That’s the game that sent Brendon home. Shelly acts surprised. Oh, was it? Rachel’s willing to humor this idea because it keeps Jeff and Daniele at war. Let’s be real here, though. Jeff may have been one of the people who helped in Brendon’s exit, but Daniele was the one who nominated him. Twice.

Daniele’s speech is about how she loves and respects the game and is the only person in the house who does. I see. Apparently she’s being kicked out tonight, having failed in her attempt to resurrect her really bad gameplay.

Rachel: Daniele
Adam: Daniele

By a vote of 3-2, Daniele has been evicted from the Big Brother house. It’s nice to see Shelly finally pick a side after lying badly all summer. In Rachel’s goodbye message, she tells her she could care less about her stupid jury vote and calls her a horrible bitch. Wow.

The HOH competition is before or after, based on a series of questions about the events of this summer. Everybody gets the first question right. Adam is out on the second question. Porsche, Rachel, and Shelly are out on the hit or miss question regarding Dominic’s elimination speech. Jordan is out, and Kalia wins HOH, which I take it she’ll use to bolster her claim that she’s done something this season (she hasn’t).

In this live nomination, Jeff and Rachel have been nominated for eviction. Jordan’s the biggest threat in the house if you ask me, though nobody seems to realize it.

Porsche, Shelly, and Adam join Kalia, Jeff, and Rachel in the veto competition. The challenge is to find two yellow clown shoes from a ball pit. I see they’ve dumbed this one down for the sake of fitting it into a couple of minutes. Rachel finds the first shoe. Shelly, Porsche, and Adam are behind her. Then Jeff. Porsche finds her second shoe and wins the power of veto.

The veto is not used. Jeff asks Shelly to rejoin him. I guess he has no choice, but Shelly’s the worst ally ever. She can’t be trusted, can’t strategize, and can’t win anything.

We have a tie, which the HOH must break. Kalia votes to evict Jeff.

A rollercoaster of a night. The evil player gets struck down, followed by the good player. Either way, at least they both played the game, unlike most of the people left in the house.
