The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 19

With quitters causing the need to buy more time, nobody was sent home in The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 18.

They will be getting a health test from their trainers. The best grade gets $10,000.

First up is the spin test with Bob. Irene knows how to spin, but she doesn’t know how to explain it. Bob gives her a 72, which is better than she expected. Olivia scores a perfect 100. Jay has him remove the seat. The lack of safety nets him a 58. Austin does a really good job and gets a 95. Like her sister, Hannah gets a 100.

Professor Brett has a science test for them. Hannah scores a 77, getting the general idea but missing basic questions like the difference between simple and complex carbs. Irene gets an 80. Olivia comes in above her with an 83. Austin scores an 82. Jay comes out on top with an 88.

Cara’s presumbly going to box the contestants. Well, that was boringly predictable. She scores them based on whether they are fighters. Irene gets a 70. Olivia gets another 100. Jay gets a 95, and so does Austin. In spite of the joking and laughing that she was warned not to do, Hannah gets a 92.

Jillian has a role playing exam. She will be the contestant, and they will be the motivators. She’ll say what they say to her, and their job is to be her. Irene doesn’t emotionally connect, and she wasn’t able to get Jillian to do so either, so she gets an 85. Jay gets a 90. Austin didn’t give a how to but had a good attitude, so he got an 85. Olivia’s positivity is good enough for an 89. Hannah scores a 90.

The final final exam is to play The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout on Xbox 360, which actually looks to be a somewhat viable workout routine. Their task is to match the movements on each exercise. First place gets 100 points, second gets 90, and so on down to 60. This could be a make or break test. Based on the current standings, Irene and Jay have no hope of winning the competition, as they are more than 40 points behind the current leader, Olivia. First they must do sumo jump squats for 5 minutes. This is followed by high knee jump rope, skating, and standing mountain climbers. Jay gives up in the first round, and Austin’s not far behind him. It comes down to the sisters. With that said, because she led by more than 10 points, Olivia’s got this in the bag regardless of the fact that Hannah wins this final round. By 3 points, Olivia wins $10,000.

The challenge is to use 100 sandbags to make their way to the top of the steps. The winner gets a 1 pound advantage. Every 25 bags, they can make their way up to the next level. Olivia’s in first place, followed by Austin and Irene. Austin gets a bit of a lead as they head into the third step. The girls hope one of them will win, as 1 pound for them is a huge deal, but this seems to be a guy’s challenge to lose. Olivia’s keeping things competitive, though, but ultimately Austin wins the challenge.

Even the Subway commercial is a challenge. Whoever gets closest to the number of calories in a sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub wins a $500 Subway gift card. With her precise guess of 380 calories, Hannah is the winner.

Alison has one final test. Would Olivia like to exchange her $10,000 for a 1 pound advantage? Would Austin like to exchange his 1 pound advantage for $10,000? The pound is a lot bigger deal for Olivia than it is for Austin, but it could mean the difference between staying and going for either of them. Austin will keep the pound. Olivia will keep the $10,000, although she’s less convinced than Austin that her decision is the right one.

Hannah: 150 pounds (-4, 2.60%)
Irene: 147 pounds (-5, 3.29%)
Jay: 246 pounds (-9, 3.53%)
Olivia: 153 pounds (-5, 3.16%)
Austin: 235 pounds (-1, -1, 0.85%)

Olivia’s decision to not take the 1 pound, a decision Jillian did not hide being angry about, nearly knocked her under the yellow line with her sister, but she was saved by Austin’s low number. Obviously, Austin will be eliminated rather than Hannah.

Votes
Olivia: Austin
Jay: Austin

With 2 votes, Austin is not The Biggest Loser, thereby eliminating all contestants who started off campus with the secret trainers. From his starting weight of 396 pounds, Austin is now down 166 pounds to 230.

  1. I can positively say I only watched about 20 min in whole of this episode, I had to skip over the rest because I just can’t stand being stuffed in the face with Olivia and Hannah.
I’d really like to witness the relations between the contestants and the trainers, the mental evolution of many contestants, the true reasons for why Rulon left, the evolution of Irene as she has been the biggest loser and for a long time but no one really knew that because the only thing we got to see was the Purple team’s pointless monologues and chatter.
Since season 9 it has been an all downhill disgrace and for the first time I’m starting to worry the show might not bounce back. And when I think this will be Jillian’s last season, it breaks my heart to see her leave without a proper successful season to go out in a blaze.
