The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 4

Both Dan and Don gained 9 pounds in The Biggest Loser Season 11 Episode 3. Although this meant the elimination of Dan, they pretended it was all an accident.

Alison warns the ranch teams that one team will be joining the unknowns for a week. It all depends how they can handle temptation, as plates of their favorite foods are presented to them. Each team will have 3 minutes alone to eat as much or as little as they chose. The team that eats the highest amount of calories can choose who spends the week with the unknowns. As two individuals, Irene and Don are paired up as a team. Aqua team talks about will power and how they are not eating anything. Jay and Jennifer also opt to not eat. Hannah & Olivia follow suit. Jesse may not be interested, but Arthur’s going to at least eat something, grabbing a piece of chicken for 150 calories. This is a smart play just in case nobody else eats anything, and it’s a hell of a lot healthier than eating a piece of pizza, one of the least healthy foods on the planet.

That 150 calories is enough to give the blue team the win. They choose to send the green team (Jennifer & Jay) to the unknowns for the week, saying that the strongest team is going over there. This team will not be immune and will be back at the end of the week.

Bob and Jillian confront Don. He insists that he didn’t gain 9 pounds on purpose. Apparently, he thinks she was born yesterday. 2 pounds, okay, maybe. 9 pounds? Go ahead and get angry, but you’re a liar if you deny that gaining over a pound a day on a weight loss show is intentional.

Over at Fitness Ridge, Jay & Jennifer find that there are some advantages. For example, whereas the ranch contestants cook their own meals, the unknowns have their meals prepared for them. All the math is done for them, so all they have to is place the order. This lets them have a worry free meal plan, although it’s probably not the best way to prepare them to fend for themselves. They also have maid service.

Jay & Jennifer rejoin the others for the challenge. It’s green against everybody else. Uncovering the plates, Alison once again reveals their favorite foods. Their job is to guess how many calories are in all the food combined. It is a 4 digit number. To guess, they must hoist a number up the top of the rig, 70 feet in the air. With it being 4 teams against 1, the ranch teams will have to lift 4 times as much weight. The prize is letters from home.

The on campus players get the first digit correct, meaning there are 8,000+ calories in these meals. Green team follows in their footsteps. The four teams are working together quite well, yelling out numbers, all within shouting distance of their opponents. Their not so mystery guess is not correct. The green team is also wrong, which means the campus team, guessing the same thing, is also wrong. Green team gets the second digit right first, with the ranch teams behind them on their next go. 20 minutes in, the green team gets their third number, but the campus teams are right behind them. Whoever grabs the last digit wins. Green is not correct. The on campus players, however, are correct, filling in the blanks with a total of 8754 calories.

D’oh. Tonight’s show is only an hour, with no results or anything of too much use. Apparently, it’s going to take an hour and a half to tell us that the country is more broke than it was this time last year.
