Half of the blue team wanted to get rid of their strongest member in The Biggest Loser Season 10 Episode 6, and the black team was happy to oblige, voting out Adam following a split vote.
I just found out that there actually was an episode last week. Color me surprised. When I tuned in, there was NBC election coverage, so I immediately tuned out. Before jumping into episode 8, I’m going to go back and take a look at that. I see on my Tivo that there, indeed, was a 1 hour episode of The Biggest Loser buried somewhere underneath last week’s shellacking. Thanks a lot, NBC.
This week, everybody will be staying with the US Marines at Camp Pendelton. Upon arrival, they are picked up by helicopters, which take them to Alison. They put on their packs and start on their march toward the barracks. For all the drama this leads to, nobody gets left behind.
Apparently, I can expect much needless screaming this week. If everybody is yelling at the top of their lungs, I’m not quite sure how anybody ever gets heard.
They wake up early the next morning, before the sun comes up, and as they run outside, they are given rifles. I am not sure who is attacking them. They find out that their food choices are both limited and poor. Although they may be doing a lot of running around frantically, this is probably not the healthiest place for them.
The challenge is to go three miles down the beach, completing any obstacles they come across along the way. Each team member is given a pack with three 10 pound weights, which they can redistribute as they see fit. Reward is phone calls home. Black team’s strategy is to start off taking one weight out of the girls’ backpacks, giving every guy 40 pounds and every girl 20. Blue team has decided they will all carry their own weight. The blue team is in the lead early. Whether they drag Elizabeth or not, the black team’s not going to be able to catch up. This becomes all the more obvious when she collapses. This time she will not need an ambulance to leave, however, as she wants to finish the race. Nonetheless, the outcome is obvious. Blue team wins reward.
Brendan has decided to get his head shaved to blend in with the rest of the bald guys on the base. At least he has also shaved his face as well.
With 15 minutes left in the episode, we learn something. It doesn’t need to take 45 minutes to weigh everybody in. Bob’s worried because he and Jillian only did last chance workout and did not have any involvement in the rest of the week.
Mark: 329 pounds (-7, 2.08%)
Jessica: 240 pounds (-4, 1.64%)
Lisa: 242 pounds (-2, 0.82%)
Jesse: 297 pounds (+1, 0.34%)
Aaron: 384 pounds (-14, 3.52%)
Blue Total: 1492 pounds (-26, 1.71%)
Ada: 204 pounds (-7, 3.32%)
Patrick: 330 pounds (-7, 2.08%)
Brendan: 298 pounds (-4, 1.32%)
Anna: 281 pounds (-2, 0.71%)
Elizabeth: 214 pounds (+1, 0.47%)
Frado: 298 pounds (+4, 1.36%) – apologizing before even hearing a number
Black Total: 1625 pounds (-15, 0.91%)
That 7 minute weigh in, yeah, that felt rushed. With two team members having gained weight, the black team has lost the weigh in by a sizeable margin. As the person with the highest percentage of weight loss on the losing team, Ada is safe. And now we head straight into the votes. Elizabeth may be the weakest link, but she’s got allies to support her regardless.
Votes
Patrick: Anna
Ada: Anna
Anna: Elizabeth
Brendan: Anna
With three votes, Anna is not the Biggest Loser. As a late comer to campus, she never really had a chance because her team failed to accept her as one of them. From her starting weight of 330 pounds, Anna is now down to 250 pounds. She has inspired her coworkers to walk the stairs daily with her.
