Hell’s Kitchen Season 8 Episode 5

After he was thrown out of the kitchen during service in Hell’s Kitchen Season 8 Episode 4, Louis ended up being the one to be sent packing.

Boris will be given another chance, as if that whole dishwashing thing really made any difference in the first place. However, everybody on the red team (aside from her girl Jillian) still hates Sabrina.

They will be hosting the prom for Beverly Hills High School, complete with Dylan and Brenda presumably. These kids have no interest in burgers and hot dogs.

For the challenge, after speaking to three kids from the school, they will have to prepare a menu. As much as they claimed to be over Boris washing dishes, the men refuse to listen to each other, or more spefically to him. The women, however, do decide to listen to each other. Sabrina would rather not stand her team as winners than losers. After they’re finished cooking, the men use this time as an excuse to gang up on Boris.

The judges for this challenge will be the kids they video chatted with earlier. The women get rave reviews for their appetizer. Not so lucky, the men get shot down by two of the three. With 2 of the 3 votes, red team wins the first point with Sabrina’s crabcake dish.

For their entree, the women have combined tuna with steak, which only one of the judges appreciates. The men should be able to run away with this, but their very dry dish isn’t winning any fans either. The ladies get 2 out of 3 here as well to win the challenge with Nona’s dish.

Although the victory has already been decided, Ramsay would like to continue with the second entree and see if there’s anything worth more than just 2 of the 3 votes. Emily’s dish delivers.

For their reward, the women will be going to an amusement park. As for the men, their punishment is to decorate for the prom, to the specifications of the same three picky kids. Eventually, Russell wants them to get the hint that he’s not there to serve the whims some kids with attitudes. Vinny hopes they have a lousy prom and spill something on themselves.

Vinny and Nona will assist in plating the food for service.

Emily’s crabcakes are rejected for being soggy, but Gail helps her get them right the second time. Boris, meanwhile, has decided to cook 10 crabcakes, although they only have orders for two.

Melissa has moved on to entrees, and lots of them. Uh. Only three tables of appetizers have been served so far.

Boris’ crabcakes are now cold. So how about the halibut? They’re going to have to wait one whole minute for it, which is the end of the world it seems.

Sabrina’s appetizers are nicely cooked.

Gail delivers food that Ramsay cannot recognize what it’s supposed to be. Then Emily has some raw fish for him.

Russell’s plan: start screaming at his team. Strangely, this seems to be working.

Melissa decides to slice into undercooked steak. This leads to Ramsay screaming. Rather than waiting for him to finish his tantrum, Nona decides to start talking. Now his attention is on her.

Sabrina and Jillian, the red team’s two outcasts, are leading the charge to finish service.

The winning team tonight is the men, and Russell gets congratulated for his leadership. Adding insult to injury, Sabrina is the best of the worst. Nona would like to disagree with that statement (Melissa would, too, but she’s less animated about it).

Sabrina gets to nominate two people, who this time won’t be able to nominate her just because they hate her. Who do they think should put up, besides her? They just want her to say her decision and don’t have any input. Emily and Melissa are her choices. That said, the men would rather see a different nominee, such as Gail, instead of someone like Emily who will self destruct on her own.

The first nominee is Melissa; the second nominee is Emily. Ramsay is not there to teach Melissa common sense, but Emily lacks effort. Emily will be leaving Hell’s Kitchen.
