It came down to a battle between the oldest and the youngest in The Biggest Loser Season 10 Episode 2, and the youngest contestant Allie ended up being sent home.
Having been saved by the other contestants, Tina has an announcement. Now she wants to go home. So get lost then. If you don’t want to be there and instead would rather go on vacation with your family, then do it.
Chiming in, Lisa says she plans to learn a few more things, then she, too, wants to leave so that she can go take care of Allie, who can’t do it alone. Anybody else who doesn’t want to be there, feel free to leave. Plenty of other people would kill for the opportunity.
Patrick has made his mind up to get this done now for his sons rather than waiting until it’s too late. Elizabeth wants to be able to live an active lifestyle and do things like go dancing.
Brendan’s getting on Bob’s nerves by taking it easy and hoping nobody will notice. Not as much as Jesse, though, who tosses weights on the ground and sees Bob’s bad side.
Bob’s message for Tina is that, in order for her to pay it forward to her overweight daughter, she has to stay on the ranch and learn whatever lessons she can.
Jillian hopes that the women don’t get slaughtered again this week, with 8 of the 9 bottom spaces having been occupied by them last week.
Today they will be playing tennis, with the help of Anna Kournikova, who’s not just a swimsuit model. That leads into the pop challenge, which has the prize of immunity. Each player has a cylinder, which can be filled with 25 tennis balls. Once someone’s cylinder is full, they are out. Brendan intends to keep Frado and Patrick safe. The easy first target is Tina because nobody will feel bad about her not having immunity. She is the first one out. Burgandy wanted to target all the guys, so they in turn have decided to target her, and they eliminate her next. The next target is Sophia, then Ada and Lisa. Aaron is the first guy to be eliminated, followed by Adam. Back to the girls with the elimination of Elizabeth. Rick is out next, and then Mark and Jessica. Jesse is the next person eliminated, leaving the trio standing. Adam believes Frado, Brendan, and Patrick have some kind of agreement, but there are 12 other people who could have easily targeted them but chose not to. Patrick is the first of the three to fall. Having a slight edge, Frado manages to win immunity.
Alison hopes they got in a good workout because tomorrow… is the weigh-in.
Following the challenge, Brendan, Frado, and Patrick decide to make it official and form an alliance. It’s a bit early for an alliance, particularly the way the rules are working this season so far.
Just like last week, half of them will below the yellow line, with one person having immunity.
Frado: 337 pounds (-3, 0.88%, immune)
Burgandy: 218 pounds (-1, 0.46%) – asking the question “Why bother?”
Tina: 243 pounds (-4, 1.62%)
Sophia: 252 pounds (-6, 2.33%)
Ada: 234 pounds (-6, 2.50%)
Lisa: 267 pounds (-5, 1.84%)
Aaron: 431 pounds (-7, 1.60%)
Adam: 356 pounds (-12, 3.26%)
From this point forward, each time somebody weighs in, one person will be knocked below the yellow line.
Elizabeth: 229 pounds (-3, 1.29%) – putting Burgandy below the yellow line
Rick: 306 pounds (-8, 2.55%) – putting Elizabeth below the yellow line
Mark: 369 pounds (-11, 2.89%) – putting Aaron below the yellow line
Jessica: 261 pounds (-7, 2.61%) – putting Tina below the yellow line
Jesse: 339 pounds (-10, 2.95%) – putting Lisa below the yellow line
Patrick: 366 pounds (-12, 3.17%) – putting Sophia below the yellow line
Brendan: 326 pounds (-5, 1.51%) – putting himself below the yellow line
The women put up a slightly better fight than they did last week, but 5 of the 7 spots below the yellow line are women, with only Ada and Jessica being safe.
As the player with the highest percentage of weight loss for the week, Adam will have the opportunity to save one player. The remaining six will compete in the challenge.
Burgandy immediately runs to Adam with a sob story, hoping he will save her. Eventually, Aaron also decides to make a pitch, about his relationship with his son.
Tina has now decided she wants to be there. I’m not holding my breath on this one.
Adam saves Aaron, leaving only 1 guy in danger of elimination.
There are four brass rings and four piles of sand, 175 tons worth. All six will start digging in the first pile of sand until the ring is found. That person will be safe. Great, so we’re basing safety on dumb luck. Elizabeth finds the first ring. Brendan uncovers the second ring, and Sophia grabs it from him. Brendan gets the third ring. The final ring goes to Burgandy.
That puts Tina and Lisa in danger of elimination. Ironically enough, both of them have said they want to go home, although they are now saying otherwise. I’m not sure it matters one way or the other.
Votes
Jesse: Tina
Alfredo: Tina
Patrick: Tina
Jessica: Tina
Mark: Tina
With 5 votes, Tina is not The Biggest Loser, a foregone conclusion. From her starting weight of 263 pounds, Tina now weighs 205 pounds. She’s perfectly happy with her elimination, and now she wants to help her daughter, who has lost 85 pounds from presumably about the 350 pound range.
