America’s Got Talent Season 5 Episode 3

Dallas proved to be a very slow night in America’s Got Talent Season 5 Episode 2, but we did meet Taylor Matthews and CJ Dippa.
Tonight we head to New York City. If you can make it there, well, you can make it there.
The first group of the day must have every light in the building turned off before they come on stage. Fighting Gravity dance in the dark. Kinda. None of them have any dancing experience. They’re just frat brothers. Due to how unique the act is, they’re through to the next round.
Gino and Tony Antanies are father and son singers. They sing about how they don’t wanna be all by themselves any more. They will if they keep singing. Despite the high degree of sucking, the audience enjoys the act. Sharon says yes, but the other two make the sensible choice.
John comes out on stage dressed like, well, I don’t know what he’s supposed to be dressed like. Anyway, he calls himself Prince Poppycock. His voice is good, but this gimmick is too distracting to take him very seriously. The judges are pleasantly surprised.
The Peek-A-Boo Revue aren’t wearing a great deal of clothing, so obviously they’re going to Vegas.
Jia-Yi He plays harmonicas. 4 of them to be precise.
The Danger Committee toss knives and other assorted sharp objects around the stage.
Mike B and Bobby Dio are a boy band (On Repeat) consisting of one singer and one rapper. They look the part, but that’s as far as it goes.
Antonio Restivo is a fire performer illusionist. Do not try this at home. He surrounds himself with chicks with torches and starts playing with fire. He concludes by making one of the girls appear in a box that had been flaming. Howie would buy a ticket to see this in Vegas.
Doogie Horner is a comedian in need of a makeover. The audience starts booing him immediately, and they’re out for blood. He shouts over them and finally wins them over, more or less. Howie and Sharon want to see more.
Stay tuned to dingoRUE for another live recap of America’s Got Talent Season 5 Episode 4, which airs Tuesday at 9/8c on NBC.
