The Biggest Loser Season 9 Episode 11

Lance was voted off in The Biggest Loser Season 9 Episode 10, apparently because the team considered him a threat.

So far, 4 people have lost over 100 pounds. Now the teams are being split up, and they are going to singles.

Allison guarantees that the next Biggest Loser is in the gym. She just can’t guarantee that it’ll be one of them. They’re back. All of the eliminated contestants have returned, and someone will get a second shot. Their weight loss is not the determining factor, although they will be weighing in. Nor will it be a competition. Instead, it will be a simple vote. Who are the remaining contestants willing to allow to come back? They can vote for anyone other than their former teammate.

John is comfortable that he’s got some friends remaining in the house. Vicky, who was eliminated week 1, assumes she’s dead in the water. Melissa assumes she also has no chance in hell, so her pitch will be that she’s not a threat. Cherita wants her daughter Victoria to be granted a third chance to come into the house, since she has been booted both prior times after losing a competition. Migdalia is the only one who has not returned since she is at home taking care of her kids.

Darrell: 309 pounds (-104, 25.18%)
Sherry: 156 pounds (-62, 28.44%)
Miggy: 191 pounds (-49, 20.42%)
Victoria: 285 pounds (-73, 20.39%)
Melissa: 182 pounds (-51, 21.89%)
Lance: 274 pounds (-91, 24.93%)
Cheryl: 176 pounds (-51, 22.47%)
John: 399 pounds (-85, 17.56%)
Patti: 197 pounds (-46, 18.93%)
Maria: 224 pounds (-57, 20.28%)
James: 413 pounds (-72, 14.85%)
Cherita: 230 pounds (-47, 16.97%)

Now that they have all weighed in and are stacked up on the scoreboard, it’s time to vote.

With 4 votes, Victoria will be returning to the show. The contestants voting for her hope to give her the shot they feel she didn’t have before. She could prove to be a wild card since she has no alliances. She’s done a pretty good job on her own, and she’ll end up being a bigger threat than some of the others.

It’s not over yet, though. There’s another way back in the game. They will get one more chance to compete in a challenge to earn a spot on campus. They grab their sweatshirts and head outside. This is an up down challenge. The first player to 1000 steps earns a spot. Miggy takes the lead with Melissa right behind her. James is in pain the whole way. Melissa is the first to 100. She’s also the first to 250. Both of them are recalling week 4 when Miggy and her daughter were being bitches. Sherry is in third place about 10 behind Melissa. Around 300 steps, her shoe comes untied, so she kicks it off. Lance is in fourth but far enough out of it that he’s probably not a threat. Around the 3/4 mark, Melissa leads 780-774-763-755 with the remaining order unchanged. Around the 24 minute mark, Miggy runs out of breath. When she hits 900, Melissa has somehow manged to get a massive lead. Sherry’s dropped more than 100 behind, and Lance is also quite a ways behind. Melissa wins the challenge, beating her husband by 76 steps.

Melissa’s not a particularly big threat, but that said, none of the other contestants want her there either.

To protect them and give them some time to get settled, both Melissa and Victoria have immunity this week.

Ashley is starting to grow skeptical of her ally Stephanie. Koli, too, is suspicious. Perhaps Stephanie threw that weigh in when she lost 2 pounds. That was the week in which Ashley’s mom was sent home.

Bob wants O’Neal to conquer the stairs, which have been a thorn in his side for 15 or 20 years.

During the last chance workout, a crying Stephanie walks out of the gym. She says she’s afraid she will go home but not on her own terms. I’m not sure what that means. Jillian warns her that she’s alienating herself from the rest of the house.

Ashley decides to confront Stephanie. She can’t trust her. The accusation that she threw that weigh in is far fetched, and she denies it. After they talk, it seems that Andrea and Ashley are back on Stephanie’s side.

Victoria: 283 pounds (-2, 0.70%, immune)
Melissa: 178 pounds (-4, 2.20%, immune)

O’Neal: 291 pounds (-4, 1.36%) – and he conquers the stairs
Ashley: 271 pounds (-5, 1.81%) – over 100 pounds lost
Michael: 381 pounds (-8, 2.06%)
Koli: 281 pounds (-6, 2.09%)
Andrea: 227 pounds (-5, 2.16%)
Daris: 237 pounds (-7, 2.87%)
Sam: 262 pounds (-2, 0.76%)
Sunshine: 202 pounds (-6, 2.88%)
Stephanie: 198 pounds (-1, 0.50%)

Stephanie and Sam have fallen below the yellow line. Neither a particularly big threat, but both have good relationships within the house, so it seems. Sam promises to keep people working if he sticks around. Stephanie says her problem was stress.

So much for Stephanie’s friends having patched things up with her. With 5 votes, Stephanie is not The Biggest Loser. In time for her 30th birthday, she is now down from a size 20 to a size 12 and has lost 96 pounds.

Closing out the show, Wayne will be weighing in. He’s a fan of the show who has dropped the weight on his own. A little more than two years ago, he weighed 674 pounds. Today, he weighs in 256 pounds, a decrease of 418 pounds.
