Today we learned the name of the new NCIS spinoff. NCIS: Los Angeles. Honest.
I know this much for sure. If there’s a NCIS: Norfolk, I’m going to suggest that somebody be slapped.
NCIS will serve as the lead in for the new series, which will air Tuesday at 9/8c on CBS.
This is a bad name. There evidently knocking off CSI (CSI: New York, CSI: Miami). Couldn’t they call it NCIS: OSP (Office of Special Project). Using the name of the town in which the series takes place is nothing if not repeatative. I think, like CSI, this show will be a reincarnation of the original. No new audience, same storylines. However with a name like NCIS: OSP, I would be looking for some combination, of Chuck, Burn Notice, and NCIS. Instead, same ideas,(while fresh), unchanged. Its sad. No originallity on TV or in the movies.
