The top 8 sang in American Idol 8 Episode 27, and tonight one more person will be sent home.
The good news tonight is that there’s (probably) no chance they’ll run over by 7 minutes and cut off the end of the show.
Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, and Anoop Desai stand up. Adam can sit back down. Kris is also safe. Anoop is the first one in the bottom three.
Danny Gokey is safe.
Matt Giraud is safe.
Scott MacIntyre is in the bottom three.
Allison Iraheta and Lil Rounds are the next two to stand up, and one of them will be joining the bottom three. Allison is safe. Lil rounds out the bottom three.
Simon says this is the first week that it probably does actually matter, even though they’ve pretended they were going to use the save before. There are a couple people, one in particular, they’d consider saving.
Lil Rounds is safe. That brings us down to Anoop or Scott.
There’s only a 30,000 vote difference between them. Scott MacIntyre has been voted out. Had he stayed behind the piano, he may well have been safe, albeit for not much longer. Two of the judges think he should stay, and two think he should go. Simon’s concern, which is a fair one, is that someone else over there will probably be more worth saving. Simon has made the decision. It’s the end of the road.
