Less than two months into the new season, freshman series My Own Worst Enemy has been cancelled. MOWE failed to gain any ground over (also cancelled) previous time slot occupant Journeyman and was down to just 4.25 million viewers and 1.8/5 in the demo in its latest showing, nearly half of what a slowing Heroes lead in managed. Whatever NBC puts in that time slot won’t work, unless they stick Deal or No Deal there.
Of course, it is cancelled, every new show that is any good (and this one actually makes you think, and keeps surprising you which is unusual for any show, nevermind NBC) gets cancelled. WAKE UP!! If NBC wants to get back in the game they have to commit to a show and not give up after 4 weeks. Thats management via mob mentality, no wonder it is going down the tubes.
It took a while to get into but now I love it. TV just doesn’t support creative thinking. I think it’s a shame that they cancelled it so quickly and without any satisfying conclusion!
I really liked the show and I can’t believe it’s cancelled!You could at least waited til we knew the conclusion! I guess I’ll watch CBS, or ABC now? The heck with NBC!! Sully
This show was great. Why do they always cut the decent stuff, while there remains an abundance of crap & reruns out there? Surface was another show that was equally as good and it’s gone too. Thank God there’s still 24.
I can’t belive they canceled this awesome show. I loved tuning in every week, it was always so suspenseful. I hate the fact that NBC cancels shows only after a few weeks, what kind of crap is that? We only watched Heroes because of ‘My Own Worst Enemy’, and Heroes sucks. Just typical of NBC to cancel a good show, just like they did with Surface and Invasion. Now we don’t have to suffer through their Heroes, and no longer have to tune into NBC. Thanks for saving me the Hassle NBC, you suck.
Im in complete agreement with the other comments. Enemy was an awesome show, and deserved a chance to get going. I find myself watching CBS often and NBC little. You are killing yourselves NBC. Oh, I also thought Journeyman was a good show.
