NBC, CBS, CW Order More Scripts

As we near a possible writers strike, the networks are scrambling to get more scripts from their new shows, Variety reports.
NBC has ordered three more scripts for Chuck, Bionic Woman, Life, and Journeyman. CBS has ordered four more scripts of Cane. The CW has ordered three more scripts of Aliens in America.
Most of these shows will probably be picked up for a second season, and these orders are a sign of this. Bionic Woman aside, NBC’s probably not thrilled with the performance of any of these but doesn’t have much choice. The CW, meanwhile, dumped all its top performers but a couple, so they’ll take what they can get at this point. The only show that looks like it may be in danger is Cane.
