Biggest Loser Recap: Nelson Eliminated

Welly, Welly, Welly my droogies, Wednesday nights reality TV time is done with and now it’s time to recap Biggest Loser. Off we go then, for a little of the old in-out in-out, real horror show.

To date both the Red and Blue teams have lost a combined total weight of 356lbs. That is a huge number to have so early in. This season of the biggest loser is going to be a total success.

The blue teams sitting around sulking, as usual, since they had to get rid of a member on the last episode of biggest loser when Bob walks in and let’s loose a pretty damn cool surprise. Everyone is taking off for a cruise! Is it just me, or have they been going to a lot of different places this season? Thus far they’ve hardly spent any time at the ranch it seems.

As soon as the trainers set foot on the cruise ship a wave of yummy food smells flows over them and the contestants, putting the fear of bad eating and no working out into the trainers. Naturally, to curb that thought right away and to get their minds on something else, Bob takes the blue team for a run around the cruise ship and Kim throws the red team into the pool to swim some laps. Hey, at least you’re working out on a cruise ship and not at the ranch, right? That’s got to be some kind of positive.

Dinner time! The ultimate in healthy eating challenges is about to take place as both teams file into the cruise ships buffet to get a bite to eat. Buffets are notorious for being, shall we say, less than healthy, which is why they’re so damn good and so hard to resist. Both teams, however, managed to cruise the entire buffet, pick up tips from their trainers and get a nice healthy meal out of the deal. Good work guys! Way to curb that temptation and kick it in the face. Wish I had that kind of will power… mmmmm buffet.

Biggest Loser at Home:

Erin of Rhode Island came in to Biggest Loser weighing in at 244lbs. To date, Erin has dropped her weigh to a mere 189lbs, for a total loss of 55lbs! That’s fantastic to do on your own, great work girl, you’re looking awesome!

Biggest Loser Challenge:

  • Become part of the cruise ship crew by delivering food to some of the VIP guests.
  • Each team member must grab a silver platter and run it to their VIP guest somewhere on the ship, get the bill signed, run back to the start and tag another team member.
  • The first team to return to the start with all their bills signed wins the challenge.
  • Reward #1: The VIP guests the contestants are attending to are their family members, but they can’t stop to chat with each one, they have to win the challenge.
  • Challenge Reward: The team that wins the challenge gets to spend the night with their much missed family or friends. The losing team has to say goodbye to their families and spend the night alone. That just isn’t a nice thing to do. I love it!

The red team starts off quickly and takes a slight lead in the challenge, expanding their lead quickly as Bobby of the blue team gets lost in the cruise ship and loses the blue team a lot of time.

Not to be out done by the blue team, Heather of the red team decides to get herself good and lost too, allowing the blue team to completely recover their position.

In the end, the red team steps it up and wins the challenge. As the last member of the red team runs past Andy, headed for the finish line, Andy decides to take a little extra time with his wife since he’s already lost. Now, I understand wanting to spent time with your wife, especially if you’re going to lose the challenge and not going to see her for a while, but that’s just not cool. After the entire team worked hard to get done as quick as they could, Andy should have carried through full force, just like everyone else, and finished out as strong as he could. Not cool man.

Biggest Loser Elimination Ceremony:

  2. Pam votes for Wylie
  3. Kai votes for Wylie
  4. Wylie votes for Pam
  5. Nelson votes for Pam
  6. Ken votes for Pam

The vote is a TIE! In the event of a tie on Biggest Loser, the team that won the challenge and is not voting off a member decides who, on the losing team, should go home.

The blue team steps into the voting room and announced their decision. The next person to be eliminated from Biggest Loser is: Nelson!!!

I was under the impression that, in the event of a tie, the opposing team picks one of the two TIED contestants to go home, but I guess I was wrong. Although, I swear this is how it’s opperated in previous episodes of Biggest Loser. This sucks! Nelson doesn’t deserve to go home at all, stupid women deciding to start up an alliance and screw everything up. Good work ladies.

Post Show Update:

Nelson came to the ranch weighing a whopping 404lbs. When Nelson was eliminated from the Biggest Loser ranch he weighed 365lbs, having already lost 39lbs. Upon returning home, Nelson has dropped down to 352lbs to date, for a total loss of 52lbs. He admits to having slacked off a bit since his elimination, but is dedicated to the cause and still working out. Good work buddy, keep it up, I want to see a skinny Nelson at the finale!
