Tonight the top 4 will be slowly narrowed down until we find out who is America’s favorite dancer.
First we go down to three. In fourth place is Tadd.
Marko ends up in third place.
Melanie Moore and Sasha Mallory are left standing in the competition for the win. With 47% of the vote (compared to 32%), the So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 winner is Melanie Moore.
Last night the top 6 performed. Tonight 1 boy and 1 girl will be sent home, leaving a final for for next week’s finale.
Melanie is the first girl in the finale. She is joined by Marko.
The second girl through to next week’s finale is Sasha, as Caitlyn has been eliminated.
The final person through to next week is Tadd, while Ricky has been eliminated, unable to be saved by the judges for a fifth time.

The boys are next. Marko is the first guy who is safe, while Jess is the first one in danger. Ricky is safe for a change, leaving Tadd as the final person in danger.
Jordan, Caitlin, Jess, and Tadd are in the bottom four, and one girl and one guy will be sent home.
Jordan is the first person to be sent home. Saying that Tadd is so unique, the judges have eliminated Jess.

The judges have made their unanimous decisions. Nigel gives a lengthy speech about how he has nothing constructive to say. Mitchell and Clarice have been eliminated.

The judges are unanimous with the girls. Caitlin is starting to realize what dance for your life means. Ryan was lackluster last night and again tonight. She will be going home.
The decision for the guys was 3-1. Mitchell is between average and very good. Ricky had one of the best dances for his life. Alexander found himself last night, though his solo let him down tonight. He will be going home.

Jordan is asked to improve but told she’s been good in all her routines. Ryan’s promptly dismissed as a potential target, with Nigel saying they love her, and she did a really good routine tonight. Ashley has yet to peak, and she is the one who’s sent home.
Travis believes Ricky is the best contemporary dancer this season next to Marko, even though he and his partner are not connecting with America. Chris always brings it when he dances for his life, but he doesn’t always fulfill what the choreographers ask, so he is going home.

Melanie & Marko and Miranda & Robert are safe.

Missy, Wadi, Iveta, Nick, Ryan, and Ricky will now be dancing for their lives. Okay, Nigel, this is a brand new set of dancers in danger tonight. Is it now acceptable to eliminate somebody?
The girl who is safe this week is Ryan, so Missy and Iveta have been eliminated. For the boys, Ricky is safe, and Wadi and Nick have been eliminated.
