Shelli made a deal with James to keep herself and Clay safe in Big Brother 17 Episode 18. That lasted about two seconds, and in the end, Shelli and Clay were nominated.
After the nominations, Clay starts talking smack to James. Shelli tries to put the leash on him. Of course, Shelli’s mouth was the one running during the ceremony, which only served to harm her. After they calm down, she starts asking why they are the ones to blame for the decision they drove, not their allies. And then Vanessa walks in, leaving in tears and unable to stand people.
James provides an excellent calm and rational explanation to Shelli and Clay for his nominations. They can say whatever they want, but the Jason vote wouldn’t have happened if they shot it down.
Vanessa’s willing to forgive and forget, but Austin doesn’t care. He just wants to go to jury with Liz.
James picks Jackie (houseguest’s choice) to play in the veto competition. Shelli selects Becky at random. Clay selects Vanessa. One person from one side, one person from the other side, and someone somewhere in the middle.
They start off on a spinning platform and must shoot darts to try to not get the lowest number. Jackie loses the first round and receives the power of veto. Shelli will wear the armitard all week long, but she trades it for the veto. Vanessa wins an Ireland castle vacation and keeps it. Clay may not leave the side of the knight (Jackie) for 24 hours, which he trades for the trip to Ireland, sticking Vanessa with Jackie, which does not seem strategically sound. Becky wins and keeps $5,000. James wins the ability to complete the swordsman training regimen 2400 times in 24 hours, which according to John is the equivalent of 30 miles of walking. Well, that’s another dumb “prize”, which he’ll obviously pass up, and he takes the veto from Shelli.
John would like to know why Meg and Clay aren’t staying off each other. Shelli’s body isn’t even cold yet.
Clay and Shelli have one final chance to convince James to save them. Time to throw Austin under the bus again or more specifically, his alter ego Judas. But if they really wanted him out, they had that chance last week. Apparently, he was trustworthy enough to save last week. Why not now?
James decides not to use the power of veto, but the power has provided him some interesting information about Austin.
