Big Brother 17 Episode 10

The pawn game continued in Big Brother 17 Episode 9, as Vanessa nominated James against John, telling John once again to throw the competition. James is still on the block and is an actual target, and the other target is Jeff. Audrey? Nope.

Jeff continues to put his foot in his mouth with Austin. He keeps pushing the twin twist, and now he thinks they should get rid of Shelli because of her relationship with Clay.

Vanessa chooses Shelli to participate in the power of veto. John picks Austin (houseguest’s choice). James selects Audrey.

This seems to work out perfectly for Vanessa. These people will all keep things the same for her so that she does not have to nominate anyone else. There are a lot of upset people, though, as there is again a belief supposedly that Audrey is supposedly the target.

Their challenge is to roll giant dice and return to the platform with the winning number on top of their dice. Vanessa challenges Audrey and does an over the top job of throwing it. John challenges Audrey as well, and he’s not fooling around, eliminating Audrey, tossing Vanessa’s preferred winner out the window. James picks Austin but loses to him. Shelli doesn’t want to win either, and she loses to her choice, Austin. The final battle is between John and Austin, who has decided after multiple wins he no longer wants to win. Once again, John wins the power of veto.

Well, that really didn’t work out how the HOH wanted, again. Vanessa, who tried throwing the competition to Audrey in the first round, blames everybody else for this. Perhaps if she’d tried harder, she may have won. Probably not, but at least she would have had a chance. I’m not sure she even really had anybody else onboard with her plan. Everybody seemed to want someone else to be the fall guy, and the person who is seemingly her closest ally, Austin, would rather Jeff go home than James.

And no, let’s not take stupid pills again and ask John to not use the veto because that’s not going to happen.

Gronk’s lame takeover is to make everyone party all day long. At least it won’t impact the game any.

For the first time, Vanessa makes it obvious she is not planning to nominate Audrey. She says it’s for a cause, and perhaps it is, at least in part.

Clay plays along with the others. Yeah, he had no idea Audrey was not the target. Austin does as well. Jason buys Clay’s lies but not Austin’s.

Austin’s been looking for an excuse to nominate Jeff, and he gets one. Jeff tells Clay not to trust Austin. Clay goes right to Austin with this information. Then Austin makes a scene, at the urging of Vanessa, who wants an excuse to nominate someone other than Audrey. It’s all forced, but it seems to work.

Gronk will take someone on his party ship. The HOH winners, battle of the block winners, and power of veto winner “compete” for this “luxury competition” prize. Meg wins by randomly choosing the right cup.

John uses the power of veto on himself, and Vanessa returns on the attack against Jeff.
