Survivor: Worlds Apart Episode 10

Joe painted a giant bullseye on himself by winning every time, and when he finally lost in Survivor: Worlds Apart Episode 9, they did not hesitate to get rid of him.

Rodney says he plans to get rid of his leader Mike (again), but this time Mike overhears him.

They head to the Survivor auction. Jen and Will get into a bidding war for a covered item, a note that Will wins for $100. He just bought himself out of this auction and can head back to camp. Shirin jumps straight to $300 for chicken and waffles. Then Jenn, Sierra, and Rodney get food of some sort for some price. Why are we rushing through this? I guess because Jeff knows the others are waiting for an advantage. At Shirin’s urging, Sierra bids $20 for a letter from home and stops there. Shirin is right, and everybody gets a letter for the same price.

Now what they’ve been waiting for. Dan, Carolyn, and Mike bid $480 for an advantage in the game. They will draw rocks to decide who gets it. Dan gets the white rock and wins the advantage. Leading up to this, Mike hemmed and hawed about whether to go in with the group and buy the letters or save his 20 bucks, and his reluctance makes them angry for some reason. His explanation in a public meeting is that Rodney flipped. Rodney, who needs to relax, tells him to relax.

Here’s the twist for Will. His prize was not so lame after all. He’s got a clue to a map that tells him to dig. It’s a personal supply of rations, which he immediately decides to share with the rest of the tribe.

Dan’s advantage is a pretty big one. He bought himself an extra vote. Much better than an advantage in the next immunity challenge that would not have helped him at all.

Rather than just be grateful for what Will has given them, Mike and then Jenn and Shirin accuse him of being suspicious and hiding food from them. Dumb of him to share with these idiots. In turn, Will starts acting like them, shouting at Shirin. Oh, and nobody even likes her anyway. Anywhere in the entire country.

When they get to the immunity challenge, Will has an offer for Jeff. He will sit out of the challenge if he can have his letter from home. For the sake of causing drama, Jeff asks if anybody objects. You would assume nobody will, but Shirin does. Haha. Karma. Three wrongs probably don’t make a right, but the way he went off on her, it’s hard to fault her for jabbing him back.

The challenge, which Will is going to lose as usual anyway, is to pick up balls with tongs and transport them across a balance beam and place the balls on a stand. There’s a learning curve to this, and Mike is the first to crack it. Nobody else is even close. Tyler is the only one in remote contention, and he’s been lapped. Mike wins immunity.

Rodney’s plan is shot to hell now. They’ll target Jenn and split the vote 3-3. Jenn’s only hope is Dan, or as she calls him, dumbass. Of course, their target is Carolyn, who has an idol.

Not content with how much of an ass he was earlier, Will continues to go after Shirin at Tribal Council, even as she cries about her childhood.

Then we get to listen to Rodney yell some more while accusing Mike of having been in a manic state.

With 5 votes, Jenn has been voted off the island. So much for that plan. The only person who did not vote for Jenn or Shirin was Jenn herself.
