Following Joey’s eviction in Big Brother 16 Episode 5, Amber and Devin won HOH, ensuring the continued dominanace of the Bomb Squad for at least one more week.
It doesn’t really seem to matter for Cody whether he is HOH or not, but he makes a valid point. Devin is a ticking time bomb. Speaking of which, he goes into the room to tell Donny everything, while Zach is laying there “sleeping”. Then Devin calls a house meeting to tell everybody he was the mastermind behind the nominations but wants to be honest going forward. The fallout of this is that Caleb and Frankie now look like liars following their nominations. As the first person to mention this, Brittany has become Devin’s target.
Hayden has a crush on Nicole, and unlike Caleb, he actually has a chance. Christine is onboard with bringing him into their alliance. Like Devin, Christine is pretty much working with the whole house, except everybody does not know it.
There is discussion about putting up a member of the alliance, which is dumb. Don’t nominate somebody unless you are prepared for them to go home.

Brittany is clearly Devin’s target, and now it is personal, as neither of them like each other. Not having learned from this, she’s going to keep running her mouth. Regardless of whether what she’s saying being true or not, there is no compelling reason to eliminate any of the other three nominees. Paola’s just a weak pawn there to lose another competition, and Hayden and Nicole were both random choices in Amber’s attempt to not make it obvious she’s working with the guys. As if it matters, Devin asks Paola to throw the competition.
One minute, Zach says he’s straight. The next, he’s cuddling with Frankie. Their celebrity couple name: Zrankie.
For the power of the block competition, they will need to look at photos, most of which are nonsense, and pick out the ones that actually match the questions. Brittany answers the first question incorrectly and must wear beer goggles for the rest of the game, which will supposedly make it so she can barely see any more. Paola is correct on the second question and assigns the hangover cure punishment to Hayden. Brittany answers the next question incorrectly after listening to Paola, and her punishment is to do a cannonball in the pool. Paola is incorrect again and is assigned the leaky beer helmet as a punishment. Brittany answers correctly and gives a swirly to Hayden. Hayden answers correctly to win the power of the block competition, saving himself and Nicole and keeping Amber safe and without any blood on her hands.
I’m not sure what to make of that challenge. Any idiot could have won that, so it’s hard to say whether it was thrown. In the end, the target remains clear and will only continue to grow.
