Big Brother 14 Episode 11

After Shane wasted a week painting a bigger target on himself in Big Brother 14 Episode 10, the coaches entered the game, cancelling the eviction for the week.

Britney denies pressing the button, though it would have been stupid of her not to seeing as she only had one player left who’s a big target. Dan, likewise, had just one player left. In spite of having a full team of three, Janelle needs to redeem herself, having placed third twice before. Boogie, however, felt he was running the game and was completely comfortable staying as coach, which is why he was the only person who did to press the button. Despite the two girls also having pressed the button, Dan’s an easy target.

After the coaches made their decision, Dan tells Boogie that Frank was the target, not Joe. That means that Wil and Danielle lied to him, while Dan withheld information.

The HOH competition is one of endurance. This generally gives people who fail at every other competition an opportunity to actually gain control. Boogie’s the first one out after 1 hour and 10 minutes. He wasn’t going to win anyway, so no point in continuing this. Jenn follows him 2 minutes later. Joe drops 1 minute after that. Ashley drops at 1 hour and 51 minutes. Dan goes 4 minutes later, as his strategy remains the same, an effort to look weak. Frank falls after 2 hours and 13 minutes. Danielle promises Wil safety, and he drops at 2 hours and 43 minutes at the same time as Shane. Janelle falls 6 minutes later. Dan may have pressed the button, but he’s not done coaching Danielle. She doesn’t really need it, though, because this is a walk in the park for her. Receiving a promise of safety, Ian drops at 3 hours and 15 minutes, and Britney gets the same offer. Danielle wins HOH.

Great news for coach Dan and also Shane, who promptly kisses her to continue the showmance, which she’s falling for. Boogie, who just learned the name of this otherwise invisible player, is not so happy.

Danielle gets a bad vibe from Janelle, who’s been calling her a floater, a word that has lost all meaning since season 6.

Dan was trying to gain Boogie’s trust by telling him Frank was the target. That seems to have backfired now. Boogie’s not grateful for this news but rather annoyed with all parties involved, which would include Dan.

Dan suggests nominating Frank against Wil, taking out Frank, and leaving Boogie on his own. His main concern is that the coaches do not get nominated because his name comes next if they do.

After this conversation, Danielle remembers her promise that apparently meant more to him than it did to her. She told Wil he’s safe this week. Having been reminded of this deal by Wil, Danielle wants to nominate Boogie. She tells Dan she’s worried that Boogie might win veto, which does not seem terribly likely, but if that does happen, both Boogie and Frank would be safe if Boogie’s not on the block.

Nominations
Britney is safe.
Ian is safe.
Dan is safe.
Janelle is safe.
Jenn is safe.
Shane is safe.
Ashley is safe.
Joe is safe.
Boogie is safe.
Frank and Wil have been nominated for eviction.

The coach twist may be gone, but not really. Dan’s still coaching his lone remaining player, with his own best interests in mind, and she’s still doing as he says.

Wil has learned that Danielle’s word is meaningless, if for no other reason than she so quickly makes deals without considering them.

This is the reason why Shane’s decision to get rid of Frank did not make sense last week. The physical threats keep going up. He may be safe while his showmance is in charge, but that only lasts for a week.
