Keeping his word to Boogie and Frank in Big Brother 14 Episode 8, Shane went after Janelle’s players, nominating Ashley and Joe despite Britney’s objections.
Joe says he’s angry and frustrated. I can’t tell the difference since the volume of his mouth is the same as usual.
Britney pretends she’s paying attention to Janelle, but really she doesn’t seem to trust anybody in the house, even the people she’s coaching.
Reluctantly, at the urging of his coach, Joe agrees to go upstairs to talk to Shane. For a couple minutes, he plays nice, before his rant about how this sucks begins. Shane’s now his public enemy number 1. I can’t imagine he would believe otherwise.
Shane picks Danielle at random for the veto competition. Ashley picks Wil (houseguest’s choice). Joe picks Frank.
The Big Brother circus is in town. The houseguests will have to roll two balls on different ramps and keep them off the ground. Wil is out first. Joe follows. Frank is next. Then Danielle. Ashley is the last one to drop. Shane wins the power of veto, his third in as many weeks.
Frank feels comfortable with this outcome. The target on Shane’s back just got even bigger, and like when he was allied with Willie, he trusts Shane. Janelle’s team, however, is not happy.
Janelle has an offer. They can have her wedding ring and earrings for 3 weeks and keep them if she goes back on her word. An impressive offer, but they don’t feel comfortable taking her jewelry.
Britney says she would rather shoot herself in the face than listen to Joe’s pitch that Janelle badgers him into making. Unfortunately, she does not happen to be in the room at the time Joe and Shane start their conversation. His offer actually sounds sincere, as he promises a final two deal, which I believe marks the third time Shane has heard that from someone.
40 minutes into the episode, Dan starts talking, but only because he won the sushi party prize. I almost forgot he was still in the house. This will probably be the last we hear from him tonight.
After that, the real party starts. Everybody begins kissing.
Britney asks Ian whether he plans on nominating Shane. He does not see any foreseeable circumstance in which that would happen. That’s not a no. When pushed, he cannot give her the answer she wants. At least lie, dude. This is the ammo necessary to switch the nominations or at least a sufficient excuse.
At the veto ceremony, Shane removes Ashley from the block. In his place, Frank is nominated. Not quite the move Joe had asked for, but it puts him in a much better position than he had been the previous night.
With two players from Janelle’s side and two players from Boogie’s side voting, that leaves the deciding vote in Danielle’s hands.
