America’s Got Talent Season 6 Episode 29

Silhouettes, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., Anna Graceman, Landon Swank, and Smage Bros. advanced in America’s Got Talent Season 6 Episode 28, rounding out the top 10. Those 10 acts will perform again tonight.

Miami All Stars perform a sports themed dance (football players, cheerleaders, marching band, and a mascot). Piers buzzes. He doesn’t want them to be a cheerleading act (with a chicken). Sharon agrees this is not the right performance to get them into the finals. Howie thinks they took the Miami out of the All Stars.

Lys Agnes wants to fuse rock and opera tonight. Dream On is certainly not the song I expected from her. I don’t get it. Sharon thought she was listening to Cher with that low voice. Howie tells her that was too big a risk. But Piers says to ignore them. At least it wasn’t more of the same.

Landon Swank wants to give people the wonder they had when they were little kids. He spits a goldfish snack out of his mouth into a glass, where it becomes a real goldfish. Then he sticks his hand through a tank, and the fishy disappears. He’s happy that this is the first time that’s actually worked like it should have. Howie calls him a conjurer. Sharon loves how he makes magic contemporary.

Anna Graceman sings True Colors. Piers didn’t think her lower notes were good, but her big notes are incredible. Howie doesn’t think that was as good as last time.

With some of the kids in the group facing life threatening diseases, Silhouettes want to get across the message to not let life’s obstacles stop you. Genius again. Sharon thanks them. Howie tells them they’re the first final act. Piers calls it the best performance of the night by a mile.

Smage Bros. Riding Shows don’t have any more family members whose lives they wish to endanger, so they’re going to skateboard on their motorcycles while merely endangering their one friend who’s lost some brain cells. He gets hit in the head and his leg run over, but he doesn’t mind. Piers didn’t think it was as good as the last round, and he thinks they made some obvious mistakes. Sharon disagrees that they weren’t as good as last time, and they disagree about the main mistake he points out.

Poplyfe perform a medley of Jackson songs. I still don’t get it. Piers says they’re a great pop band. Sharon doesn’t think there’s anything out there now, and there’s probably a reason for that. Howie calls America idiots if they don’t vote.

West Springfield Dance Team hopes to capitalize on the popularity of vampires. Sharon views them as too predictable. Piers buzzes because he agrees with her.

Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. sings some Dean Martin. No less predictable than West Springfield, but this time it gets a standing ovation. Piers would pay to see that.

Team iLuminate is the final act of the night, and tonight their choreographer joins them on stage. This is the year of the dance, and they should easily walk right into the finals with Silhouettes. A refreshing change from the typical American Idol Lite scenario.
