America’s Got Talent Season 6 Episode 27

Team iLuminate, Poplyfe, Lys Agnes, Miami All Stars, and West Springfield Dance Team were the first groups to advance in America’s Got Talent Season 6 Episode 26. Tonight the next half of the semifinalists perform.

The Kinetic King returns again for more domino fun. Piers calls him his favorite act, although he didn’t find tonight as explosive as last time.

Fatally Unique is the first dance act of the night. Dance party in an insane asylum? Well. I guess that qualifies as unique. Sharon likes their breathtaking speed. Howie wonders whether they’re fatally unique enough. Piers thinks they’re one step closer to winning.

Landon Swank won the magic showdown. His new illusion for tonight is a real life version of Russian roulette. Piers, Sharon, and Howie each pick a button, leaving one untouched. Landon’s in one of the boxes rigged with explosives. They blow up all but box 2, which Landon’s in. Far more slick than the similar act we saw in Vegas from Frank Miles.

Gymkana return for some more gymnastics/dance. Piers buzzes, and it’s clear what he’s going to say: too repetitive. Eventually, the act comes crashing down in flames, literally, as one of them hits the flaming hoop and knocks it down.

Summerwind Skippers are quite good at jumping rope, but I’m not sure how far this can go without a big twist. The big mistake at the end gets a buzz from Piers. Howie’s been won over, though.

Snap Boogie continues his street dancing to support his family. Howie loved it. But Piers didn’t. It was a weird start, followed by cheesiness. Sharon didn’t like the other dancers, but she does like Snap.

Singer Anna Graceman performs Home Sweet Home by Carrie Underwood. She gets the whole building on their feet. Don’t know. I thought her earlier performances were better.

Steven Retchless learned to pole dance on the Internet. Where else? Piers buzzes. To be fair, Piers never liked this, but the music and the additional dancers aren’t helping. Sharon felt that was fantastic, though. Howie’s somewhere in the middle.

Smage Bros. return with their one dumb friend who’s probably had his head squashed a few times, and this time they’ve brought the rest of the family. Piers thought that was incredible. Howie’s word is amazing.

Professor Splash is diving (not just a belly flop) from 70 feet into an 8 foot flaming diving tank. In the event you have a way to dive into a pool of fire from a height of 70 feet, don’t try this at home. The judges aren’t sure that was as impressive as the shallow diving.

Old school singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. sings some Sinatra. Sharon and Howie have glowing comments, but Piers doesn’t think that was his best performance.

Silhouettes are the last dancers of the night. Still very good, but they’re going to have trouble topping their quarterfinal routine.

  1. Anna Graceman sang Coming Home by Motley Crue, NOT a song by Carrie Underwood…It says it clearly in the promo package before her performance.
