Alina was voted off the island in Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 8 because, uh, I’m not really sure why.
People try to convince Jane that Marty doesn’t have a point, when in reality he does. Although she really hasn’t done anything to earn votes, they have no reason to take her to the end because people like her. Instead, they’d rather keep around people like NaOnka, who just keeps digging her own grave.
Marty’s new plan: get rid of Jane. Oh wait, that’s still his same plan. The twist is to spread the rumor that NaOnka’s going home instead, flushing out her idol in the process.
The reward challenge involves working their way through a series of obstacles collecting keys. Reward is a canopy tour and BBQ. The two teams, drawn at random, are men vs. women, with Chase sitting out. Chase picks the girls to win. Whatever happens to them, he will share in their fate. It’s a neck and neck start through the first key. Running through a bunch of sticks, however, slows down the women, and they’re pretty well out of it. Their only ray of hope is Dan’s inability to do anything involving physical activity, but regardless it’s not happening. As Jane drags behind and collapses, the men bust through the brick walls and win reward. Whatever the heck Chase was thinking, he was incorrect and will miss out on the reward.
Probst has a question. Is anybody willing to give up a spot for one of the women? No.
Brenda states the obvious: Chase’s choice was dumb. He voted for his alliance to win, rather than the choice that was logical.
After NaOnka tells Chase to not get on Brenda’s nerves, he goes up to Brenda and tells her again and again and again that she seems really unsure.
The immunity challenge is a memory challenge, remembering symbols in the order in which Jeff shows them. Everybody gets the first symbol right. Everybody is right the second time. Jane and NaOnka are out on the third symbol. Dan is out on the fourth. Holly, Kelly, and Sash are out on the fifth symbol. Everybody gets the sixth symbol right. Round two will have 7 symbols. Everybody gets the first one right. Fabio is out on the second symbol. Chase is out on the third. Benry is out on the fourth, bringing us down to Marty against Brenda. Both are correct on the next symbol. Marty is incorrect on the next symbol, and Brenda wins immunity.
Benry and Fabio wants to follow Marty’s plan, and Benry tells Fabio to just play stupid, which he tells us he’s been doing a lot.
NaOnka don’t want to talk about the food stealing any more, Jeff. Oh, and she doesn’t like Marty… either. Or Fabio. Or whoever doesn’t like her. Considering her attitude and yet the fact that she’s still here, Jeff believes he will see this lunatic at the finals.
No hidden idols are played. NaOnka doesn’t care.
