Jason eliminated Jillian in The Bachelor 13 Episode 7. Before he makes his decision as to which of the remaining two to propose to, it’s time for the women to tell all.
Jason says he was surprised by the controversial things Megan had done because he was unaware of it. He was, also, surprised by her over the top slipping him the tongue on the set of General Hospital. In another memorable moment, he rejected Shannon’s advances because she was blubbering, which really was not the right time. Watching Jason on The Bachelorette was one of the ways that helped Stephanie cope with losing her husband. Next topic is Naomi’s wacky family. Yeah, there really was a dove in that bag. Jillian is Jason’s ultimate friend… and nothing more. Except for the hot tub scene. As for the overnight camping date with Molly, it was completely innocent. Jason claims it was just first base.
Chris and Jason talk about moments that we didn’t get to see. Yeah, that’s apparently possible despite all the filler they have to get through two hours each week. On a horseback riding date, the horse got spooked, and Jason had to hop off it before anything went terribly wrong. On his golfing date, Jason lost his pants to Molly. On another date with Molly, Jason decided to rap for her. Badly, again. What goes on in the fantasy suite? It’s a real overnight with no cameras for 10 hours or so. Jason will let us decide what goes on with that in mind.
Well, we’re coming to the close of another season, which means it’s time for the usual. Trista and Ryan, the show’s only success story over its 16 tries, are back for their semi-annual appearance. They have a baby girl on the way. Trista picks Melissa based on what she’s seen so far.
Chris begs to differ with my (and everybody else’s) assertion that Trista and Ryan are the only ones who have been successful. Charlie and Sarah, having broken up previously, are now back together. Tick tock. She didn’t like that he was a drunk, but he has been off the wagon (or on the wagon, whichever one’s the good one) for about two years now.
The guys from The Bachelorette and the girls from The Bachelor get together from time to time and look for different people to hook up with. They seem to be having more luck than the people who are actually The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. Holly was dating Robert until he got creepy, so now Holly has picked up Jesse after DeAnna dropped him because the limelight faded. Chelsea supposedly posed for Playboy. A lot of the guys have a crush on Amanda, who has opted for Graham. Fred and Noelle have hooked up.
Raquel, Lisa, Erica, Jackie, Megan, Renee, Lauren, Stephanie, Sharon, Natalie, Kari, Shannon, Nikki, Naomi, and Jillian (some of whom I actually remember) are back to dish the dirt.
Lauren and Erica rehash how Lauren threw her and Megan under the bus. Natalie never realized that nobody liked her. Stephanie just wanted to see the positive in everything and didn’t want to talk negatively like everybody else was doing.
Natalie says she was so stuck up because she didn’t have her Blackberry or iPod. She claims she’s only been stereotyped on this show, and she didn’t realize that she had problems with the girls. I’m thinking maybe she could switch to decaf and see some progress.
Jillian, who I expected would make it to the finale, has a lot of support from the audience. She’d make a good The Bachelorette. She really did fall in love with Jason, but at the last rose ceremony, that was the first time she wasn’t sure where she stood in the process. Still wanting to find her best friend, she thinks that maybe she did stop short of where she needed to be to get past that. Her parents thought they were going to get married, and her grandmother loved Jason. Despite how things turned out, she found out that she can and will fall in love. Jason’s not a kraut guy, but he’s not 100% mustard any more either. Chris doesn’t pull any punches: would you do it again? Yes, she would want to be The Bachelorette.
Jason says he’s excited to be there and feels he built a relationship with everybody. Jillian keeps her dignity. She respects Jason’s decision, understanding that there was something not there. No begging him to change his mind (let’s save that for next week and DeAnna’s return). With Naomi, Jason was worried that she wanted to spread her wings, which is something he isn’t in a place to do. Stephanie and Jason are both happy to see each other, with no hard feelings. With his choice, to be revealed next week, Jason says he’s extremely happy.
Considering this season’s ratings success, this comes as no surprise, but they are currently casting for The Bachelor 14.
