Digital TV Not Delayed

Three years ago, Congress outlined a plan in which we would shut off analog signals for TV and switch to digital television only. Despite that and the barrage of media coverage on the subject especially over the past year or so, 6.5 million homes remain unready for the switch. Following a unanimous vote in the Senate in favor of the delay, the House was only able to get a 258-168 majority (about 60%), shy of the 2/3 majority needed to push the switch to digital back from February 17 to June 12. We’ve had plenty of time to prepare, and anybody not ready already probably won’t be ready by this summer either.
