CBS easily wins with football and 60 Minutes. Desperate Housewives did well for ABC. NBC scored season lows for SNF. The CW is getting completely crushed. The entire 7-9 block is an endangered species, with ratings far below last season’s (too) quickly cancelled Runaway. I’m surprised some more 7th Heaven fans (what was left of them after the first “season finale”/network merger) haven’t given Life Is Wild a shot, but it’s going to be hard to gain any ground with nobody watching CW Now or Online Nation.

CBS won the night as usual, but three of the others kept it a tight race, including Fox, which was up nicely (but still fourth) due to its playoff coverage. Despite a poor performance for the rest of its first Friday night of the season, the premiere of Women’s Murder Club was strong for ABC. Smackdown’s numbers remained consistently good for The CW, presumably the last bit of good news for the network until Wednesday’s numbers come out.
