Survivor: Marquesas Episode 7

Following another Maraamu challenge loss, Gina was voted off the island in Survivor: Marquesas Episode 6.

The Maraamu tribe find the skull of a man. Friend or foe? That island may be uninhabited now, but at one point there were apparently people living and killing each other there.

Vecepia continues to kiss butt and pretend she’s friends with the Rotu 4.

The tribes get treemail, which is a map to send one person on a quest. Since nobody else is volunteering, Boston Rob agrees to go. He doesn’t wanna be with these people any longer than he has to. Obviously, Paschal and Neleh aren’t splitting up, so Kathy will go for Maraamu. They arrive to beds and food and will be ambassadors for the merge. Rob feels bad that the other people are missing this. Honest. Rob tells Kathy that she’s the next target. She informs him that Gina called him a lazy two-faced mean bum. They make a pact to stick together. This is quick. Too quick for Kathy. The two of them in the end would be the best showdown ever, though.

When they return to Maraamu beach, they’ve got 5 minutes to gather everything. So long crabs and fruit. From there they go to Rotu beach, described by those who have lived at both beaches as being the worst of the two.

Kathy doesn’t trust anyone when she returns, and she shouldn’t. She warns Paschal that she’s about to get axed, and he and Neleh are being played, too.

They have named their new tribe Soliantu, sacred allegiance to the sun. The new tribe will wear pink buffs. The General denies that real men wear pink.

Tammy realizes that the let’s not lie ever strategy isn’t realistic. She’s fully willing to do whatever she needs to do to win the game.

With Kathy present, Rob confronts Zoe about the agreement they made to pick off the other island. Risky strategy, but it’s not like he has anything to lose. Zoe denies any knowledge of any such plan. She pauses, then she lies. Kathy just walks away but ultimately has decided that Rob is telling the truth and she’d better win immunity to stick around.

The immunity challenge is to remain standing on a platform in the water. Neleh is eliminated. The General follows her. Paschal is next. Vecepia follows. Some of the others are getting a little too comfortable, dancing around out there. Sean is the next one out. Zoe appeared quite comfortable but has been eliminated. John’s been wobbling for quite some time. Boston Rob reaches into the water to splash (it was later revealed that Probst dared him to do so), and his hands touch the platform in the process. Tammy takes a header. John just barely touches, or so it appears. Kathy wins immunity.

Rob still plans to take John down. Within the next two tribal councils, he will be exposed. Better sooner than later.

John’s not sure who’s going. What happened to “my word is my bond”? That went away when Rob blabbed to Kathy. This very loud conversation is overheard by the entire tribe. If there were any secrets, they’re going to be a lot harder to keep now.

Boston Rob admits to lying. Then he admits that others are lying, too, particularly those who are pretending they’re honest.

With 7 votes, Boston Rob has been voted off the island. He didn’t go down without a fight, though, so it’s just a question of whether the rest of the tribe wakes up in time. Rob’s buddy Sean stuck by him. The Zoe vote came from Kathy.

Big Brother 11 Episode 17

Turning the entire week into a mockery/great big waste of time, the producers voted out Jessie in Big Brother 11 Episode 16. Then Michele won HOH, putting her in the position of actually having to pick a side.

Big Brother is running about 20 minutes behind due to the golf overrun. A live blog will begin as soon as 60 Minutes is over.

We’re half way through the season, yet Michele has not made either a friend nor an ally, but in doing so, she has also not made any enemies either. This week, she may well have to make some enemies. Her only somewhat useful offer for an alliance is Chima’s women’s alliance, which would leave her the opportunity to target the couple or the bully. Since Jessie’s gone, though, the easiest thing may be to just keep the momentum the way the producers have forced it to go.

Chima’s containing herself. We know that won’t last very long.

Jeff says that Jessie and Natalie were walking to the finals unless somebody did something. Next time try winning a challenge for a change or maybe actually playing better if you feel that strongly about it.

Natalie assumes that Michele’s going to put her up. Chima is having difficulty believing that because Russell told her that she needs to be medicated and is just as bad as Ronnie said.

Russell wants to try to start over with Michele. That’ll last pretty much as long as she’s in power, and then he’ll flip out at her again.

The three girls who were crying over Jessie’s eviction open up his wine bottle. Kevin will just sit there and grin and bear it. Well, not so much grinning as rolling his eyes. Jeff, Jordan, and Russell want no part of this and eat outside. It is a little creepy.

Michele has decided she wants Chima to go home because she’s the biggest threat. To the guys. You’d have to be a complete idiot to think Chima’s a threat to the women. She wants Russell gone in the worst way, and she’s the one pushing the women’s alliance because she wants a woman to win. It’s entirely possible Michele is a complete idiot, though.

The contestants break into four teams of two for the have/have not competition: Jeff and Jordan, Michele and Russell, Natalie and Chima, and Lydia and Kevin. There you have basically the pairs of the house. Michele has essentially made it so she’s stuck with Russell at this point. Good luck to her. It’s a gross eating challenge in which they must correctly place casseroles in their correct locations. They will work together as a group to make sure they can all eat every day. Chima’s got a sour look on her face the whole time. In the middle of the challenge, she tells Russell not to look at her. They do not win food for Monday but do match for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They will be getting the BBQ grill and hot showers but no steak and lobster dinner.

Russell wants to know if Jordan likes Jeff as a boyfriend. If he lived in Charlotte, maybe. He proposes to her, and she says yes. In like 23 states, it’s pretty much official.

Natalie doesn’t think Michele would make an enemy in this house if Russell went home. She’s right. He has no real allies, and he’s attacked everybody at one point or another (then he apologizes when they get the power, and goes right back to attacking them the next weeek). On the other hand, if she targets either side, that whole side will now see her as a target, albeit perhaps less of a target than some other people.

It’s time for another stupid vote. The choices are cucumbers and carp, mince meat and marshmallows, and churros and chitlins. I’ve asked this before, and I’ll ask again: they actually pay people to come up with this stuff?

Michele says she’s basing her nominations on who would take her to the final two. Answer: nobody. Jeff and Jordan are taking each other, Natalie and Chima are taking each other, and Lydia and Kevin are taking each other. The only other lone wolf is Russell. She’s viewed merely as a vote, at best.

Nominations
Jordan is safe.
Jeff is safe.
Russell is safe.
Kevin is safe.
Lydia is safe.

Natalie and Chima have been nominated for eviction. She sees Chima going to the final two but not taking her. Natalie’s the pawn. Chima doesn’t care any more. To be fair, she shouldn’t. She had things planned out exactly how she wanted, then the producers intentionally stacked the deck against her, kicking out her closest ally in the process.

BB 11 Spoilers

Survivor: Marquesas Episode 6

Maraamu finally won something in Survivor: Marquesas Episode 5 (it was weird), and after revealing he “not there to play the game,” Gabe’s own tribe turned on him to vote him out.

John believes he’s in control now. He’s completely willing to throw the immunity challenge. Robert is okay with John making the decisions because that makes him the target.

Vecepia is trying to make it clear that she’s not with Rob or Sean any more.

The little Maraamu tribe doesn’t have to work at finding food. It’s just sitting there at their feet. On the contrary, Rotu is just eating one meal a day.

Maraamu assumes that either Rob or Sean has been voted off. Wait until they find out it’s really Gabe. Jaws drop.

The reward challenge is a relay challenge. On the first leg, one member will race through the jungle to untie a paddle. That person will tag another tribemate and find another paddle tied up. The second leg is to break a pile of coconuts and find a key. The other two members will then use the key to unlock the canoe, paddle out to grab a flag, and return to the beach. Reward is Sierra Mist, chicken, quiche, bean salad, and cookies. Vecepia, Sean, and Tammy sit out for Rotu. Leg 1 is Rob against Paschal. It’s obvious how this ends. Rob tags Zoe to grab the next paddle. Pappy tags Neleh. Rob and Zoe find the key, as the other tribe is still trying to get their paddles. Robert forgets his paddle, which costs them a little time, but it looks like a moot issue. Robert and John are paddling for Rotu. Well, that’s what they’re supposed to be doing. They are completely clueless. By some miracle, Kathy and Gina still have a chance to win this. Rob and Zoe did their part, but John and Robert are turning out to be idiots. Kathy and Gina are the first to get their flag, but it’s now a close race to the finish. By this point, it looks like Robert and John have figured things out to an extent, but they’re still quite a ways behind. Now it’s time for Maraamu to make a time wasting mistake. They forget the flag. Rotu returns with their flag first. They win reward. Maraamu protests. Both paddlers have to be at the post. Robert is not there. He’s sitting elsewhere resting. Additionally, their boat is not within the chain length. Scratch that. Reverse it. Maraamu wins reward.

John refuses to apologize for screwing up the challenge, and he claims it’s not that big a deal. He further pretends that it would not be worth winning. Tammy joins him to make him feel better.

Paschal views Gabe as a son, and he was bitterly disappointed to see him voted out. This is an element John failed to consider when he put together his four.

Although the Maraamu tribe all say they’re a family, they know that there’s a good chance they could lose again. In that event, Paschal and Neleh would vote together, so it’s a question of who they vote for. Kathy is worried it may be her.

Boston Rob knows there’s an alliance. So he asks because he wants to see them lie to his face. Zoe tells him there is no alliance. He tells her he won’t forget her lying. Then he asks John, who responds you’d have to be blind not to see they have an alliance. They give each other their words that ex-Rotu will go first. John may possibly be able to be believed. As for the Robfather, well, we know better.

John hopes to throw the challenge because Rob is dangerous and desperate to do something to flip the game on its head. He should have thought of this yesterday. Sean and Vecepia both sat out yesterday, so they will definitely be in the next one. Tammy’s the other one who sat out, and she says she can’t throw the challenge. So that’s 3 out of the 4 who will be trying as hard as they can. It’s the maze challenge. In addition to Vecepia, Sean, and Tammy, Rob will be leading the charge for Rotu. Tammy will be lumped somewhere in the middle of the three ex-Maraamu. She can drag her feet a bit, but this is going to be hard to throw convincingly even if she wants to. Rotu takes the lead with their first step. Then they get their second. Then they get their third. Maraamu finally gets their first. Then they get their second. Rotu has 4. And 5. Rotu wins immunity. For all John’s talk, it would have been nearly impossible for Tammy to single handedly throw this challenge.

Kathy is worried. Her leadership was not very good on the maze, and now the fire’s out because she put sand on it, which they used to do at Rotu. She wants to talk to Gina about the vote, but Gina doesn’t want to talk.

When they get to tribal council, Neleh says she hasn’t yet decided yet who she’s going to vote for. That’s a hard statement to swallow. The four of them say they’re all one tribe and would be going four strong together, which is a good thing because the Rotu 4 have already forgotten about them.

Survivor: Marquesas Episode 5

The tribe shuffle bit her in the butt, and Sarah was voted out in Survivor: Marquesas Episode 4.

Sean’s done. He doesn’t even want to bother trying to either work or fit in with anyone.

John says that you have to be honest throughout the game. He ain’t gonna win. So he asks Gabe whether he’d lie to win the game. Gabe’s not even there to play the game. He just wants to build a society with a bunch of different people.

Maraamu is happy to have Sarah gone. They’re all getting along for a change. Maybe they can actually win for once. By complete accident, they manage to get some crab meat, which means protein for all.

The reward challenge is to gather pieces of a tiki while blindfolded. Reward is to visit the losing tribe’s beach and raid the camp. Vecepia, Sean, Rob, and Zoe sit out for Rotu. Gabe is the caller for Rotu; Kathy is the caller for Maraamu. John is the first to return with a piece. Both Gina and Paschal return with one for Maraamu. Tammy’s also got the second one for Rotu. Tammy returns with another one for Rotu, and Robert’s got two. Rotu’s up 9-7. John returns with the last one for Rotu, or at least that’s what Gabe thinks anyway. Probst tells him there’s one more left. As he’s wondering where the remaining piece is, Maraamu gets their last piece and is working on the puzzle. Gabe finally figures out where the last piece is, but it’s too late. Maraamu wins reward. That was different.

They have two minutes to decide what they want to take, with the exception of one knife, one cooking pot, one water container, the magnifying glass, and any personal items. They take a massive amount of supplies. It’s not just three items like usual. It’s whatever they can get their hands on. This is obscene. The tribe that wins one challenge gets to catch up because of that one challenge, erasing everything the others have earned over weeks of winning. This marks Gina’s first win in 13 days, and she’s got blankets, pillows, lanterns, and another water jug to show for it.

Gabriel is trying to get along with the new members of Rotu. Not a feeling shared by the other four. John keeps pushing and pushing Gabe for an answer, an answer that’s not forthcoming, so he plans to vote him out. John makes a final four alliance with the other members of old Rotu.

The immunity challenge is yet another challenge that requires no physical strength at all, so it’s again something Maraamu may be able to win. It’s the signal challenge. They intend to use the blankets that they got in the lame raid. Gina wants to win because she wants one of her former tribemates gone. If you turn on your tribe that easily, what are the odds anyone’s going to trust you, since you can just do the same to them? Robert, John, Gabe, and Tammy sit out for Rotu. Robert’s not happy with the people he’s stuck depending on. They’ve built a black sign. You really think a ship’s going to see black? Granted, it’s not like they have white blankets any more. The captain’s attention wouldn’t be attracted by Rotu’s signal. It goes without saying, but Maraamu wins immunity. Whoever planned the raid challenge right before this challenge should have thought about what they were doing. One challenge win directly resulted in the other win.

John’s paranoid that the other three will join Gabe in a vote to create a tie, so he goes to Sean to offer him a deal. His offer to him: I’ll get you to the merge. Just to the merge? If I’m Sean, I’m going to deliberately try to force a tie. That’s exactly what Sean plans to do. John would deserve to be voted out for being an idiot and not just keeping this plan to himself. In addition to that, by voting Gabe out, he’s failed to clear this plan with the three ex-Rotu on the other island. 4 is not a big enough alliance to win with. The only problem with getting Gabe on their side is that he’s really not playing the game.

By a unanimous vote, Gabe has been voted off the island. He had a chance to save himself, but he failed to bother with it. He got out before he had to play the game, so he’s fine with being eliminated.

At the voting booth, Rob’s got a message for John: he knows exactly what he’s doing, and first chance he gets, he’s gonna get him.

Survivor: Marquesas Episode 4

The numbers game caught up to Hunter, and he was voted out in Survivor: Marquesas Episode 3.

Rather than being grateful for still being in the game, Gina says she’s surprised she’s still there and doesn’t understand why they’d vote out one of their strongest members. Cut off the head of the snake, and that solves your problem with the snake. While Hunter was a very good contributor to camp, he didn’t seem to understand that there’s more to Survivor than surviving the elements.

The other tribe is just peachy. They think of themselves as a family.

The tribes meet Jeff for… an activity… of sorts. Pick a disc at random. I smell a tribe shuffle.

Rotu: Zoe, Gabe, John, Vecepia, Rob, Sean, Robert, Tammy
Maraamu: Gina, Neleh, Kathy, Sarah, Paschal

Neleh, Vecepia, Rob, Kathy, Sean, and Paschal switch tribes. With a group of all women and Pappy, new Maraamu is going to be hurting if the challenge is anything physical. Paschal and Neleh have managed to stick together. Boston Rob’s still got his buddy Sean, but he’s left without a woman, as Sarah is going to have to fend for herself. Gina’s luck probably improved the most, since she was probably the next to go if her old tribe lost again. However, it’s not a huge step in the right direction because new Maraamu consists of 3 ex-Rotu members to 2 ex-Maraamu members. New Rotu, meanwhile, consists of 3 ex-Maraamu members compared to 5 ex-Rotu members.

The big change for the new members of Rotu is that they’re going to be expected to work more and joke less, and unlike the scenario with Hunter, they’re going to find it difficult to rally the numbers.

It takes little (no) prodding to get Gina to reveal the cracks within her old tribe. Like Frank from Africa, she’s probably just shooting herself in the foot.

Tammy’s plan: get rid of Sean and Rob first vote if they decide not to work. I don’t know. Looks to me like they’ve been working a lot.

Gina hopes that Kathy’s aggressiveness will wear on Neleh and Paschal.

Sean has no plans to be kissing butt. He tells Gabe he’s not going to overexert himself knowing he’s probably the next to go anyway, and the fact that Gabe seems to want to respond to this statement doesn’t phase him anyway because he just keeps rambling. His only hope is to just win the next couple challenges and wait for the merge. Vecepia has no intention of participating in this drama. She’s the next logical boot, but Sean’s mouth may well be his downfall.

Kathy could see Rotu backing off on the challenge and allowing Maraamu to win just so they can get rid of someone. I don’t know that it really matters because Rotu’s got the numbers on both new tribes, an unusual situation that means someone from ex-Maraamu is probably going home regardless.

The immunity challenge is to unscramble a woven tapestry. Sean, John, and Rob sit out for Rotu. Rotu looks like they’re getting it, but Maraamu is just standing around looking confused. Working together well, Rotu wins immunity.

It’s safe to say that Sarah’s gone. Without Rob to protect her, it was only a matter of time, and she’s just not blending with anyone on her tribe. Her only hope is that Kathy being overbearing will be her undoing, but it just wouldn’t be a wise move to give up the numbers.

Big Brother 11 Episode 16

Kevin won the power of veto in Big Brother 11 Episode 15, guaranteeing his own safety for the week but not using it to save his friend Lydia, who remains on the block against Russell.

The biggest question of the night is whether Jeff will use his coup d’etat power, and whether I will have to use the R word for the first time this season.

Jordan believes that Jessie and Natalie are trying to be BFF with her and Jeff. Scandalous.

Russell is still working to get Jessie on his side. It’s not working. The response I’m looking for here is “Duh.” Russell’s surprised that Jessie is mad at him for not picking him in veto. He made that move strategically, knowing that it would alienate Jessie from him. It’s hard to feel sorry for this guy who just simply doesn’t get the game.

So then Russell goes to Michele, the girl who he called a nutcase 4 or 5 days before. When Jessie jumps into the conversation, Russell starts swearing and yelling. How unusual.

Chima’s 99.9% sure Jeff has the mystery power, and she intends to create drama directed at him should he use his power to save Russell, a complete wild card who isn’t on anyone’s side but his own.

Having made it to the half way point, the remaining members of the house will either be in the final two or a member of the jury.

Chima does not regret what she’s said about her arch nemesis Russell because he started it.

Does the holder of the mystery power wish to use it? Jeff stands up. He would like to remove Lydia from the block. Natalie goes up in her place. He would also like to take Russell off the block. In his place goes Jessie. Predictable. He’s putting them up because they’ve run the house. They’ve run the house because they’ve outplayed him.

Neither Chima nor Jeff will be allowed to vote. That brings us down to 5 voters, which means that only 3 votes are needed instead of 4.

Votes
Lydia: Natalie
Jordan: Jessie
Kevin: Jessie
Michele: Jessie
Russell: Natalie

Interesting that Russell would try to keep Jessie around, and obviously Kevin’s continuing to do as he wants regardless of what his offbeat partner wants. By a vote of 3-2, Jessie has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

With that, now’s the time for my rant of the evening. I haven’t used the R word since a couple weeks before the season started when I called Big Brother All Stars rigged (and it was… HOH do over anyone?), but now’s the time to do so for this season. Love him or hate him (and most people hate him), Jessie played the game, and he played it well. So for him to be taken out by the producers handing a power this great to someone just because they want to keep the fan favorites in the game as long as possible isn’t quite sitting right with me. While this can be blamed on America because it was a public vote, the producers knew it would save the most popular person in the house, which was exactly the goal. If this were the result of a competition, even one that heavily favored one person, it’d be more excuseable, but not when someone becomes HOH for not doing anything at all. Adding insult to insult, Jessie was kicked off Big Brother 10 by America, too.

Rant over for now, back to the show. The HOH competition is based on previous competitions. Chima and Jeff will both be participating in it.

Kevin and Lydia go first. Kevin answers correctly to eliminate Lydia.

Kevin picks Jeff and Russell to go against each other. The interesting thing about this competition is that the players are likely to pick two people who they would like to see eliminated. Russell answers incorrectly and is eliminated.

Jeff picks Chima and Natalie to face off. Chima answers correctly to eliminate Natalie.

Chima picks Jeff and Jordan to go against each other. Jeff answers correctly to eliminate Jordan.

Jeff chooses Kevin and Chima to face off. Has anybody realized Michele is also in the game? Apparently not. Kevin is correct to eliminate Chima.

Michele and Jeff go next. Michele takes a while to answer, but it’s still fast enough to remain in the game. Jeff has been eliminated.

Michele stays up there to go against Kevin for the final round. Michele is correct and wins HOH.

This is quite interesting because Michele is really not on any side. The only remote shot at an alliance she’s formed is her girl power alliance. With Jessie out the door, that makes even more sense now, and it’s a perfect opportunity to target Russell because he hates her and Jeff, who just broke up the other couple, which should lead to a quick elimination of either himself or Jordan.

Natalie thanks everybody who voted for her to stay. Nobody voted for her to stay, though. They just voted to get rid of Jessie. Her staying was a consequence they were willing to live with.

BB 11 Spoilers

America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 16

12 more acts performed in America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 15, and tonight five more will join the top 20.

The Fab Five and the Beale Street Flippers are up first. I could see this going either way but would expect the moms to advance, and they do, as the Fab Five go through.

Voices of Glory, Carol Loo, and Eleisha Miller are next. No need to even wait for the answer. Voices of Glory are advancing.

The Texas Tenors and Pete Peterkin step forward next. Before last night, I would have gone with Pete, but his act last night failed to impress. The Texas Tenors advance.

SQ Entertainment, Alizma, and Paradizo Dance are next. We know Alizma’s gone, regardless of how hot and blonde they may be. SQ Entertainment was good, but the wild cards really don’t have much of a shot. Paradizo Dance moves to the semifinals.

Tony Hoard and Rory and Charles DeWayne (who appears to have dropped his last name) came in fifth and sixth. The judges will decide which of them will be the final act to join the top 20. Sharon needs some more time to make a decision. David votes for Rockin Rory. Piers votes for Charles DeWayne in order to avoid the biggest scandal in the history of the show. That may have forced Sharon’s hand, as she votes for Tony and Rory.

America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 15

Acrodunk, Drew Thomas Magic, Kevin Skinner, Grandma Lee, and Arcadian Broad advanced in America’s Got Talent Season 4 Episode 14, and tonight 12 more acts will have their shot.

Piers has a warning. He’s planning on buzzing more tonight.

The Fab Five is a sister tap dancing act. They’ve been holding cyber rehearsals, not bothering to practice together live very much. You’ve got a 1 in 40 chance at winning $1 million. Hire some babysitters and make a trip. Nonetheless, this act works. They dress as firefighters complete with poles and flames. Piers calls them fabulous.

Singer Charles DeWayne Dorsey, Jr. was influenced mostly by old school acts like Stevie Wonder. He sings and plays piano to Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers. Not sure this is the best song to show off his talent. Sharon would have loved to hear that song for a romantic dinner with her old man, but it wasn’t quite right for this show. Hoff agrees but like Sharon believes he will be returning. Piers is even more convinced now that Charles could be a major star.

Carol Loo is, well, why’s she here? She intends to throw together some more random steps and call it dancing. Seriously, what the hell is this? Piers buzzes when she starts disrobing and dancing to Push It. Hofftastic. As for Piers, he will desperately search for some positives. Doing this at her age of 63 is amazing, but that’s not a million dollar act.

Tony Hoard and his best bud Rockin Rory are up next. He’s already been to the dog spa since coming to Hollywood, surprised to find out that there are spas for dogs. They return to do their canine frisbee act with a lifeguard theme to get Hoff to try to remember his glory days. Piers buzzes. He doesn’t blame Rory. The throwing was terrible. Sharon thought the dancers were a distraction, but she will not say a bad word about Rory.

Eleisha Miller is another act that should not have gotten through, no matter how strong her personality is. Despite how talented she is for her age, there are stronger child acts. She sings and dances to some song. Piers buzzes. Sharon liked the dancing, but not so much the vocals. Hoff only comments on her energy and charisma. Piers wants her to fire her vocal teacher and perhaps dump singing altogether.

Paradizo Dance is the husband and wife group where she somehow lifts him. Tonight he shows off his strength, and she’s just plain fearless the way he throws her around. And they’ve shed the purple. Hasselhoff wishes he could vote because he’d vote for them. They’re raw talent that could sustain a show in Vegas. Piers didn’t buzz for a change after having buzzed the dog and the little girl. He thought that was incredible.

The Texas Tenors are the group that got together on a whim because it’s not like they have anything else to do. They sing Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA, a smart song choice. That was one of the cheesiest things Piers has ever seen, but he thought it was vocally stunning. Sharon’s mostly stuck looking at the hot blonde guy. Hoff warns them that, while that song could get them some votes, it’s not enough to get to the finals.

SQ Entertainment is a wild card act. They’re dancers who plan to add a lot of stunts for this performance. Talented group, but lack of previous screen time may hamper them. Sharon was entertained. Hoff thought the dancing was great but just couldn’t figure out the story. Piers didn’t think they should have come back, but he was wrong. They commanded the stage and were massively better than their audition.

Pete Peterkin is an impersonator, and for his audition he did President Obama and James Brown. Obama is returning tonight, and since Jamie Foxx impersonates Obama, he will return the favor, doing an impression of Obama doing Jamie Foxx doing Ray Charles. Hoff thought it was a good job. Piers felt the Obama material was dreadful. The Ray Charles was good, but he wasn’t sure what he was watching. Piers doesn’t look happy that Pete’s talking back, however jokingly he may be trying to make it.

Alizma, the blonde triplets who would be much more tolerable if they’d keep their mouths shut, sing A Natural Woman. Take Piers’ advice. This singing is not working for you. Sharon buzzes them. The boys can tolerate this and just tune out the horrible singing. Then one of them hits that high note, and that results in two more buzzers. Piers is now deaf. Sharon doesn’t like that they look like strippers. Hoff tells them to lay off the acid, which they take as a compliment.

The Beale Street Flippers are the second wild card act. With about two seconds left in the act, Piers buzzes. He just got a bit bored with that. Not varied enough to make it that interesting after the first 25 flips.

The final act for the night is The Voices of Glory, who have both the story and the talent that I’m assuming that they’re going to advance. Unlike last time, their song choice won’t win them any votes, as nobody will remember it for long. However, their voices still shine. Hoff thanks them for being on the show. Piers felt it was a bit shaky in parts, but they have a star in their midst, the little sister. Sharon agrees tonight was Nadia’s night.
