Heroes Season 2 Episode 4

In Heroes Season 2 episode 3, Peter didn’t want to find out his true identity, Micah went to live in New Orleans, Sylar returned powerless, Kensei became a hero, Claire and West got closer, and Noah got the message that he’s going to die.

Claire’s dad is afraid she’s met a boy. He’s right, but of course she’s not going to tell him that.

Molly continues to have nightmares.

Alejandro and Maya get a ride and come upon a man lying in the middle of the road. When they turn him over, we’re greeted with Sylar.

Micah has gone to live with Nana (Nichelle Nichols) and new hero Monica (Dana Davis).

Angela Petrelli confesses to the murder of Hiro’s father Kaito. She begs Parkman to just let it go, since if he lets them dig, it could lead to the heroes being found out.

Claire tells West she can’t see him any more. I was gonna give this plan a few days, but West gets her to agree to see him later that night.

A finally clean-shaven (but not straightened out) Nathan comes to the hospital to visit his mother and confronts her about confessing. She tells him to backup her story as well.

Sylar tells Maya and Alejandro he was robbed and his name is Gabriel. Maya tells him they’re on their way to see Dr. Suresh, and he says he knows him. She believes it’s a miracle.

Monica takes a management test and gets her hopes up. Her boss tells her she’s not qualified because she’d need to be ready to work anywhere in the state. He says being tied to her home prevents that. She’s afraid she’s being punished for being selfish by always praying for a way out rather than praying for the community.

Claire lies to go see West. Of course, nobody believes this lie, and her father follows her. West flies her away before she can get caught, though. Her request on where to go, when he offers to take her anywhere, is to sit on the Hollywood sign. When they get there, she says she’s afraid, but he says he can help her because he feels the same way. She jumps off the sign as a literal leap of faith, and he catches her, whether she can heal herself or not. It’s pretty obvious this isn’t ending any time soon.

Nathan shows Parkman a picture containing all the people who are being picked off one by one. Parkman’s father happens to be one of the people in the photo.

Back at Micah’s new home, he rigs the TV to get a pay-per-view wrestling match to help out his cousin. So much for laying low with his powers.

Parkman asks Molly to help him locate his father. When she sees the picture, she freaks out because his father’s the man in her nightmares.

When he stops at a newsstand, the driver of the car finds out Maya and Alejandro are killers. He tells his new buddy “Gabriel” what he’s found out and says they need to ditch them. Sylar gets in the car and warns them the cops are being called. Maya gets upset and starts to use her power, which allows Sylar to figure out they both have power. Then he steals the car and takes off, leaving the driver, who’s dead thanks to a brick being bashed in his head, behind.

When she gets home, Claire takes West’s advice and tells her father she’s doing something else she hates instead of being with a boy. She says she tried out for cheerleading and made the squad. Then the Haitian shows up and tells him they have go to to Texas.

Monica’s closing the restaurant when a guy with a gun forces his way in. She uses a move she learned while watching wrestling on him. She still has no clue what’s going on or why she was able to do it, though.

Molly agrees to help find Parkman’s father. While she’s helping, she gets caught and then collapses. Parkman hears her thoughts: screaming for help.

Pamela Reed’s Jericho Contract Not Renewed

SyFy Portal is reporting that Pamela Reed, who plays the mom, Mrs. Gail Green, on Jericho has not been offered a contract for additional Jericho episodes beyond the current ones. She will be in at least one season 2 episode, but after that, she will be following in the footsteps of Johnston Green, who died in the last episode of season 1.

“The average age of actors on that show is under 40, and those of us over 40 are gone,” the 58-year-old actress said.

Prison Break Schedule Change

Update: Prison Break season 4 has moved to Mondays at 9/8c on Fox.

Prison Break will not be shown tonight, as it will be preempted by baseball. Episode 5 Interference will air next week Monday October 22 instead.

Update: for those of you who are wondering, Episode 6 has also been preempted by Game 5 of the World Series (which never ended up airing). Instead, we will be seeing both episodes 6 and 7 next week November 5th.

Update: Prison Break Season 3 is currently on hiatus but will return to its current time slot on January 14. dingoRUE will continue to provide coverage during this time as it becomes available, with a return to live recaps once the show is back.

Survivor South Africa: Malaysia Episode 8

In Survivor South Africa: Malaysia episode 7, one of the luckiest Survivors ever, Lisa, who skated by for weeks with everybody complaining about her being lazy, finally bit the dust and was voted out as she should have been in episode 3.

With Hein’s assurance, Bajau eats the last of the goat, despite the fact that it’s got maggots crawling around in it. Over on Iban, Dyke manages to catch a stingray. Both he and Hein are safe for the foreseeable future because they are able to provide. After the merge, however, one of them will be easy enough to sacrifice, most likely Dyke.

For the reward challenge, tribes must swim out into the ocean and retrieve puzzle pieces. The last swimmer on each tribe will solve the puzzle. Reward is a feast: pork chops, potato salad, chicken, vegetables, and beer. Lorette sits out for Bajau. Grant takes a bit of a lead over Amanda in the first round. Hein extends the lead in round two but injures his ankle in the process. Irshaad and Mandla both decide not to take their masks with them, costing each of them time. It costs Mandla more, though, as he gives the lead to Iban. Dyke laps Mandla and begins work on the puzzle. Angela gets back and starts jumping up and down when she thinks she’s won, directing Dyke’s attention her way. She didn’t have the right answer but was close enough to give Dyke an idea of what he needed to do. With that information, Dyke manages to solve the puzzle and wins reward.

Hein continues to hobble around on his sprained ankle. He’s better off just resting and recovering. The tribe seems to be trying to help him out, but they’re not really equipped to do the work. Grant sees this as an opportunity to get rid of a threat. After waking up the next morning, he says his foot’s 75% better, which is problematic for Grant, who’s been playing a stupid game all along anyway.

Irshaad’s strategy is to get close to Dyke. Amanda and Angie seem to want to just get closer to each other, but the problem is neither of them are particularly strong, either physically or strategically.

The communique says strength is king and two people must go, so both tribes go with their default choices. Bajau picks Mandla and Grant (because Hein is injured), and Iban picks the two guys Dyke and Irshaad. They’re all taking this literally, and luckily for them that’s how it was intended to be taken. The challenge is to dive through the hole in the rafts, untie and retrieve a treasure chest, saw through a mast underwater, and also retrieve the flag. Bajau takes an early lead and never looks back. Bajau wins immunity. Angie will be happy, as she was looking forward to a loss.

Irshaad has accepted his fate as the person to be eliminated. The girls are definitely not going to to keep Irshaad around, and Dyke’s not going to risk a tie for Irshaad. This does make them extremely vulnerable and weak when it comes to challenges, however.

Irshaad has been eliminated by a vote of 3-1. The girls got what they wanted, but they’re just lucky next week is the merger. The interesting thing about this is that it does tie things 4-4 between ex-Iban and ex-Bajau, oddly enough.

Life Is Wild Episode 2

In Life Is Wild episode 1, the family moved to South Africa to save the oldest son Jesse from his destructive path and also attempt to unite the stepfamily as one new family. There was some progress, but it’s obviously going to go up and down for years.

It’s time for the kids to go to their new school. The first test is to find someone who speaks English. Katie does bump into Oliver when she arrives, though she also has a couple of girls looking for a catfight watching her interaction with him. But one of them, Lauren, pretends to be nice. After class, Tumelo asks Katie to ask her father if he can be his apprentice, in exchange for help in Zulu class.

It’s not long before Jesse gets into trouble, fighting with another boy. Chase also gets into trouble, refusing to answer to his real name and preferring to be called by his adopted African name (and he gets stuck with a teacher unwilling to humor him). Mia follows suit, as her lion gets loose in the classroom.

Jo’s on a mission to convert the lodge into something that actually functions, but Art’s fighting her every step of the way. Still, I get the impression she’ll get her way regardless. She goes to spy on the competition and finds out Art is right and that they need something totally different. Her theory is to convert the lodge into an environmentally friendly lodge, an expensive proposition that gets Jesse to believe they’re going to stay there for more than a year, which he’s right about if the show doesn’t get cancelled.

Oliver invites Katie to a concert. Her new “friends” tell him the lie she told them: that she already has a boyfriend. Of course, it’s not long before Jesse tells them truth and says she doesn’t actually have a boyfriend. Lauren and Emily butt in and weasel their way into being third and fourth wheels, as Lauren, who used to date Oliver, is hoping to win him back.

Jesse skips detention to go hang out with Oliver. Obviously, that doesn’t go over well, so his mom tells him that he has to go to detention and on top of that can’t have the job he found (which he wants because of a girl) while he was skipping it.

As Oliver warned her, Katie’s unable to get anything done while hanging out with Lauren and Emily.

The wildebeests start collapsing one by one. Colin has no idea why.

Oliver advises Jesse to just go over to the girl he’s been after so she can shoot him down and they can just go home. As usual, he doesn’t have much luck, but he does inquire about the job in the process of being shot down. He pretends to have cleaned up his act so that his parents will let him get the job.

Lauren tricks Katie and gives her directions to the middle of nowhere instead of to the concert. Wow. Shocker. She manages to find her way home but is filthy when she arrives. Tumelo cheers her up by taking her to his favorite place, a place where he can see how much better things have gotten since apartheid ended. Emily tries to apologize and says she didn’t know what Lauren was up to, but Katie doesn’t care. But she does tell her brother Oliver what happened, allowing him to patch things up with Katie.

Jo’s discussing Mara and how they spray the grass green. Colin discovers that this is what’s causing the Wildebeests to get sick.

Colin has some bagels, cream cheese, and the New York Times shipped in for Katie so she has some comforts from home, and they let Jesse get the job.

As we can come to expect, everybody’s happy at the end of the episode. That should last until about 10 minutes into next week’s episode.

CSI: Season 8, Episode 3 – Go To Hell

Last week’s episode, A La Cart, faced the CSI teams with two unusual cases. This week, the team tries to solve a murder of an entire family, except for one of the daughters (who is supposedly possessed by the devil) that remains missing.

The CSIs stumble upon a horrible multiple murder in a motel. To identify the victims, the CSIs asked a copy of the motel registration and found out that the family were checked in for a week. The car’s plate number and registration led to an address, where Warrick and Stokes immediately investigated only to find out a child dead sleeping on her bed.

In the meantime, Sara works a morning-shift case with the newbie CSI, Ronnie Lake, which bombards Sara of numerous questions about everything she could think of. Their victim is a homeless man who died of cardiac arrest because of dehydration.

Back at the other case, finger prints led to numerous recorded criminals along with a sex offender-turned reverend, Rev. Rhodes. As it turned out, the parents found dead in the motel attempted to rein their daughter in after discovering she is having a relationship with a 23 year old man. As parents who find it hard to believe that their little girl is having sex voluntarily, they become convinced that their daughter is possessed, seeking the help of Rev. Rhodes.

During the interrogation, Grissom asks Rev. Rhodes if the exorcism has worked on little Amy. Unfortunately, Rhodes admits he has failed because Amy’s father interrupted the procedure. As a result, the parents end up being murdered, while Amy remains missing.

In Sara’s case, she notes a complication on their victim: handcuff marks, leading Sara to believe that a cop may be the one responsible for the homeless man’s death. As it turns out, the homeless man punched the police officer, after the officer stopped the victim and another homeless man who were fighting for food. The cop knew that the man only punched him for an opportunity to go to jail where there’s free food and water. Since the cop really did kill the man, Sara wished he had just taken him into jail after all.

As the police searched for Amy, the CSI team figures out who committed the shocking murders. Grissom and the other first believed that they were after people who are involved in child pornography, killing the parents to kidnap Amy for a new film.

The police eventually found Amy with her 23-year-old boyfriend. She was immediately placed into child services. However, the evidence begins to point to an even inhumane conclusion as the CSI team finds an online conversation between Amy and the man, as she asks the 23-year-old man how far he could go just to be with her. As it turns out, Amy had planned the whole thing.

Unfortunately, Rev. Rhodes, knowing that Amy had committed the murders due to the evil inside her, hunts her down and finds her at the Child protection facility. Amy falls from the top floor as the Reverend tries to “save her”, causing her immediate death.

CSI: NY Season 4, Episode 3 – “You Only Die Once”

Last week’s episode “the deep”, Mac and the CSI: NY team investigated an underwater crime scene and stopped two Albanians who are attempting to bomb the city. This week, Flack opens the episode as he fools around with his girlfriend (Devon) in her Manhattan apartment. While they were in the apartment, Flack heard noises coming from the living room to find out they are being robbed. The robber sees Flack and immediately escapes down the window using a rope.

Flack chases the robber, who stepped into a one-of-a-kind, batmobile-like car. Using a taxicab that Flack stopped, he chases the robber down the city. The robber’s car emits some unique fluid, which becomes lit with fire that blocked Flack’s pursuit.

The CSI team arrives and investigates the robbery. Flack and his girlfriend gives a description of the man. A few hours later, Mac calls Flack for another crime scene in Bond Street only to find the corpse of the robber he saw earlier in Devon’s apartment. The same man robbed Chief Brigham Sinclair and now puts pressure on Mac and the team to solve the case.

The thief, who died of asphyxiation, was identified as James Stanton. Dr. Hammerback discovers long underwear and a tuxedo under Stanton’s jumpsuit. A part of the thief’s skull has been removed post-mortem.

The CSI’s evidences, particularly the butterfly wing scales, led them to the Manhattan Conservatory that hosted a benefit the same night as Devon was robbed. Randall Rodrique was incharge of the event coordination, but does not recall Stanton’s presence. His assistant Maude, on the other hand, does and says that Stanton was thrown out of the party for fighting with another guest.

Back at the lab, Lindsay and Danny study the batmobile car and found out that it had state-of-the-art tires and “memory polymer siding”, which makes it possible for the car to repair itself literally. A new robbery leads the CSIs to arrive at a serial number, which they were able to trace to Elliot Gano – a man working at a car dealership. Gano tells the CSIs that he loaned the car to James, but got into a fight with him after claiming the car was stolen, eventhough it was parked just outside the benefit.

Mac eventually tells Flack about the stalker and harassing calls h e has been receiving since he went back from his vacation. The message left by the caller was recorded on a flight on 767 to JFK airport – the exact flight Mac had when going back to New York. Flack promises to investigate about the mysterious caller.

At the lab, Hawkes determines a breach on their lab firewall. Mac orders the power to be shut down, but their lab table continues to glow, within Stanton’s tuxedo. The team discovers microtechnology sewn in the tuxedo’s lining, making Stanton and his partners guilty of not only stealing jewelries, but also hacking into the rich and famous’ PCs and committing identity theft.

Upon recovering the stolen information, Hawkes shows Mac an e-mail that accuses Chief Sinclair of sexual harassment. Mac tells Hawkes to keep the info private as he talks to Sinclair about the e-mail. The chief claims it is an extortion attempt to destroy him.

Linday discovers that the liquid emitted from the high-tech car was a combination of ethanol and Gilmore 171- the alcohol brand that sponsored the conservatory party. This led to the CSI team’s investigation back to Randall Rodrique. With lack of evidence, Stella and Flack decided to spy on a big party held that evening for the mayor, which Rodrique coordinated.

At the party, Stella pretends to be an event photographer to look for signs of “smart water”, which the robber was sprayed with during the last Manhattan apartment robbery. After taking a couple of shots, Stella discovers the smart water on Maude, the assistant. Maude tries to escape using her batmobile, but is stopped after a couple of barricades and car brake failure. However, she denies killing James Stanton.

Lindsay and Danny discovers that the airbag in the car was rigged to kill, while the breaks were sabotaged. The cayenne pepper found on the airbag leads the CSIs to Booth Rody, the co-employee of Elliot at the car dealership.  As it happens, Rody was the lookout for all robberies, but became jealous of his partners since he fells they are only using him and never letting him get into the action. As a result, Booth Rody sabotaged the car to kill his partners.

Back at the office, Mac finds out that someone leaked out the damning e-mail, which brought Sinclair’s attention back to Mac again. Plus, Mac receives his lost luggage, only to discover a bloody t-shirt inside it.

Who is sending these messages and shocking items to Mack?

Reaper Episode 3

In Reaper episode 2, Sam accepted his fate as the devil’s bounty hunter (then again, that’s what I thought in episode 1 as well), and as a reward, the Devil set it up so that he would be working with Andi in the garden center.

Sam’s day starts off with his toothbrush having a large bug on it. It doesn’t get any better from there, as any time he tries to put anything in his mouth, it’s covered in bugs. As Bert is feeding Sam his apple, which needless to say looks odd to those around them, Andi comes up and invites him to a lecture at her college and then out for coffee after. He rejects this because he’s stupid or something.

Ted offers Sam a promotion to assistant manager of the plumbing department, with a message that he’s going to spend the rest of his life working at The Work Bench. Sam tells the Devil he just wants something that doesn’t suck. The Devil tells him he’ll need to come up with a better plan than that, but in the meantime, he shows him some pictures of dead people, who all got killed by bugs. Sam and his sidekicks follow a van with a giant bug and think they’ve located the escaped soul, but a bunch of bugs fly in and kill him, so that lead’s out the window. It does, however, lead them to an apartment complex where the soul lives.

Andi met a guy at school who’s trying to convince her to quit her job and go to school full time. They’ll have to deal with that later, but for now they have to worry about the federal offense of stealing and opening other people’s mail, as Sock grabbed the mail from the apartment complex and is investigating it to see if there’s anything out of the ordinary.

Bert and Sam sneak into Josie’s office looking for Harold Bunsen, who was the prime suspect in the murder of his wife, then disappeared in 1972. This week’s vessel is a toaster. As usual, their first attempt at using it is a failure, and this time, in the process of escaping, they leave a clue behind telling Harold where they’ll be.

Ted calls Sam and Andi to his office. Sam rejects the job offer, so Ted gives it to Andi. She says no and blurts out her plans to quit. While they’re out celebrating, or pretending to celebrate, the Devil shows up and says Sam’s embarassing him because he’s not getting the soul or the girl.

Harold shows up at The Work Bench and blames Gloria, a jealous woman going after anyone she thinks is coming between them, for the murders. Armed with a fog machine, a toaster, and some long extension cords, they head back to Bunsen’s apartment. Gloria outsmarts them, and while Sam and Ben check the apartment, she corners Sock and convinces him to spill the beans about the plan, which is prety easy because it’s Sock. Ben and Sam come in to find Sock in trouble, but Harold walks in, so she lets him go. Harold tells her he never loved her and just stayed with her out of fear. The boys then realize the toaster is a bug zapper and was working in its original state, but they just didn’t realize it. After unfixing the toaster, they’re able to capture Gloria and zap her back to Hell.

As we can probably come to expect, there’s a hidden meaning in this. Because Harold didn’t say how he truly felt, a bunch of people died, and he lived a miserable life. Sam’s able to relate to this. He runs to Andi’s school to tell her he’s upset that she quit, but when he gets there, he finds out all the classes were cancelled because of a tip the school received about the building being filled with asbestos. Once again, the Devil comes through for Sam.
