CBS easily won the night with a strong trio of performances in Survivor: China, CSI, and Without a Trace. Grey’s Anatomy had a strong performance but a significant slip of 5 million viewers, while its lead-in Ugly Betty also dropped by a similar number. ER suffered a similar fate to drop below 10 million. Smallville performed strongly against stiff competition.
